LO_804 Posted May 17, 2021 Report Share Posted May 17, 2021 Yesterday was a pretty different(?) day fishing even before the below happened... cops kicked me out of a business park, threatened a ticket, and that didn't sit well with this lady cyclist rolling by so she gave me her address, called the guard shack (private neighborhood) and put me on a permanent guest list and said I am welcome to fish anytime. (the fishing was actually decent, so a win there) As far as the video goes- I know its not a SUPER rare occurrence by any means, but for me at least it was more about the bait that was lost, and that I got this whole ordeal on camera. I haven't had a leader knot fail like this in as long as I can remember- on my SWB rod I have been using 50# braid > alberto knot > 15# fluoro leader (about 12ft), BUT am thinking after this happened that I may just switch the whole spool to 20# fluoro and take a knot out of the equation.
