rwp
This question gets asked about once a week. There's no best rod, there's a few that will do a lot well, but there is not just one rod to do it all. Jon P
The best all rounder I've use is the St. Croix Legend Tournament Mega-Swimbait. The versatility in casting weight is insane and being a pretty parabolic rod you don't lose much functionality with a wide range of baits. Though like I've said with this same question before, there are no perfect rods and if you want "versatility" in a rod you'll be sacrificing a bit of function here and there. ZachThomas
I asked this a while ago and everyone told me the LDC white label was the way to go. I have heard nothing but good things about this rod. Toro blanco

Whiskeyriver
0.5-4.5 ounce range, LDC white label MH can make it work. It does best with trebel hook baits in my opinion, but I have caught fish with jig hook baits also (bacca). I fish braid to a 7 foot or so mono leader. So take my opinion with a grain of salt if you fish floro or mono. It could change your ability to get a good hook up on jig hook baits.
