I have a rigged one I picked up at a local shop. Subtle kick at slow speeds. Good kick while moving it faster. Tail somewhat lifts and causes the body to arc a touch. I'm not big on bottom hooked soft baits. So im probably going to change it into a top hook so I can drag it on the bottom. Solid little bait for the price I guess. No fish on it yet so can't speak of the durability.

If you squeeze the plastic from the tail up to the hook (if rigged with a beast) pretty firmly repeatedly you can feel the plastic get more flexible and helps a ton with tail kick at slow speeds

I tried everything on these baits from different hooks, weights, and bowling...Wouldn't kick at slow speeds and tried to roll on a faster retrieve...

Not for me but I know they catch fish...

I Prefer the Rago/Smash Tech/3:16 as an alternative for Line Thru/Weedless

I wanted to like them. Either I got two packages of duds or these things are terribly designed. I tried fishing them on 8/0 and 10/0 beast hooks, weighted an unweighted, I rigged them multiple times trying to make sure everything was straight, and they were just awful all around. My first impressions were they looked very nice, and seemed to be very durable. My first reel crank of my first cast and I'm already thinking "oh no". To even get the tail to move at all I had to retrieve them at a pretty good clip, which would have been fine but too fast and they swim on their side. On the fall the tail action was non-existent and they just spiraled down. When I was able to get them to swim upright with the tail kicking, they were swimming with the nose down at probably a 20 degree angle. And at that retrieve speed I was able to achieve maybe a foot of depth at most.

I boiled one of them and have yet to try it out, it's definitely softer but I'm not holding out hope. To me, the issue is two fold. If you look at the bait from the top, the tail section is barely, if at all, thinner than the body of the bait. which is going to make getting the tail to kick very hard unless you have a super soft plastic....which is the second "problem", they aren't soft, and the combination of these two qualities makes these a regretted purchase in my book. Again, I wanted to like them, which is why I bought two packs to start, and again maybe I got two separate duds (which if that's the case Optimum has some QA issues), but I will not be buying these again.
