evilcatfish
Anybody been fishing these yet? How is the durability? With the thin profile and deep belly I think these may fit my needs nicely. If anybody has any feedback or perhaps a pic of one next to some other baits for size reference I'd appreciate it. Socalswimbait
I have a rigged one I picked up at a local shop. Subtle kick at slow speeds. Good kick while moving it faster. Tail somewhat lifts and causes the body to arc a touch. I'm not big on bottom hooked soft baits. So im probably going to change it into a top hook so I can drag it on the bottom. Solid little bait for the price I guess. No fish on it yet so can't speak of the durability. evilcatfish
Bmurr7
Interested in these as well. I've got some of Optimum's Baby line thru 5"ers and love em.

Northeast Bassin
I got a rigged one and it a Swims on its side at any speed. I boiled it to see if it help but it didnt. Boiling made it super soft tho Did you rig it with an Owner 8/0 Beast hook that's weighted?
dheath2
I rigged it with an 8/0 owner beast hook and although it didn't swim on it's side I was moving it pretty quick to get the tail to kick.
Socalswimbait
Yup not much kick at slow speeds. kicks decent when moving it faster. I took my rigged one and changed it into a top hook. Haven't fished it yet with the top hook setup but will soon.
BmoreBassin
If you squeeze the plastic from the tail up to the hook (if rigged with a beast) pretty firmly repeatedly you can feel the plastic get more flexible and helps a ton with tail kick at slow speeds
d-camarena
Its my go to swimbait. Only complaint is it doesnt kick at slow speeds. It would be the only swimbait i used if it did
LUV-2-CATCH'EM
I tried everything on these baits from different hooks, weights, and bowling...Wouldn't kick at slow speeds and tried to roll on a faster retrieve... Not for me but I know they catch fish... I Prefer the Rago/Smash Tech/3:16 as an alternative for Line Thru/Weedless
Ben.h
There is a Bassmaster article on it. It is titled "Saga of the Secret Swimbait"
Herrourdoors
Try fishing it on a 10/0 Beast hook.
massbass10
They arer made with a stiffer plastic which is why they have very little action (which is intentional). They seem to be pretty durable because of it.
_chris_scruggs
Don't care for mine I have both sizes have to reel super quick to get it to kick. I do have one fish on the baby with a flash swimmer but I attribute that fish to the blade action not the swimbait itself
NEbucketmouth19
I wanted to like them. Either I got two packages of duds or these things are terribly designed. I tried fishing them on 8/0 and 10/0 beast hooks, weighted an unweighted, I rigged them multiple times trying to make sure everything was straight, and they were just awful all around. My first impressions were they looked very nice, and seemed to be very durable. My first reel crank of my first cast and I'm already thinking "oh no". To even get the tail to move at all I had to retrieve them at a pretty good clip, which would have been fine but too fast and they swim on their side. On the fall the tail action was non-existent and they just spiraled down. When I was able to get them to swim upright with the tail kicking, they were swimming with the nose down at probably a 20 degree angle. And at that retrieve speed I was able to achieve maybe a foot of depth at most. I boiled one of them and have yet to try it out, it's definitely softer but I'm not holding out hope. To me, the issue is two fold. If you look at the bait from the top, the tail section is barely, if at all, thinner than the body of the bait. which is going to make getting the tail to kick very hard unless you have a super soft plastic....which is the second "problem", they aren't soft, and the combination of these two qualities makes these a regretted purchase in my book. Again, I wanted to like them, which is why I bought two packs to start, and again maybe I got two separate duds (which if that's the case Optimum has some QA issues), but I will not be buying these again.
