Cool idea though! the wire is actually pretty flexible, and rolls through stuff nicely with the added help of the split ring. Doesn't seem to really affect the action, but adds some flash underneath. 253caster Posted July 15, 2017 Author Report Share Posted July 15, 2017 Thanks guys. Ive only been out once since posting, but it seemed to work pretty well once I got it tuned. Originally it wanted to roll over on its side, but I had to bend the wire slightly to correct it. I also might try a smaller blade like northeast trev because this big blade seems to create a lot of "drag" when burning the bait which causes the hudd to lean forward and nose down a bit.
