If it costs me a little bit more to get a bait I want because I can't or didn't get on a drop, that's the price to play. But guys that expect to get eBay pricing on here can kiss my ass though.5 points -

Dink whisperer and 2 others reacted to Abobass for a topic
Finally weighted and tuned up my mega glide made of reclaimed old growth coastal redwood and I must say I’m super stoked with the outcome !! Currently sitting at 15.5 ounces with hooks & rings, 16” in length ... the stall and suspend is pretty happening !! Time for paint !! FullSizeRender.mov3 points -

Personally I have 0 experience with an A rig. Never thrown one before but figured if I was going to, I would go big. Saw a video on SB fishing of his buddy throwing an A rig with a couple hudds on it and thought it was a great idea. I have 6.8” bluegill flash keitechs and 7.8 ghost trout color keitechs on this beast of an A rig. The baits are a bit heavy all together which puts the total weight of the rig at 9 ounces. If I’m going shallow I’ll remove two baits and add blades to put it around 6 ounces, a little more manageable. this rig is meant to hold heavy baits, and made custom by Muskie Mitch on Instagram. Whole thing cost about 65$ to put together. lemme know what you think3 points

Another warm day in SoCal so decided to test the new rod I got from fellow SU member. Tossed the 6.8 kietech again this time different pond, same golf course and landed another sold fish....can’t wait to land a real fatty but for now, I’ll take em enjoy!!!3 points

I got words, but not good ones.3 points

Building leaders is one of my favorite things to do while I'm not fishing. This is a rig for a 12" trout. Centauri knot at the j hook, to a uni snell on the treble. Tied in 100lb mono. (Musky rig)3 points

Glide baits in stained/dirty water
Gijsbert and one other reacted to Eric Peterson for a topic
Short answer, yes I do. Long answer, it’s not that simple. In dirty water especially, I’ve found it’s extremely important to be pulling your glide as close as possible to the dock, tree, grass etc. etc. that the fish are positioned on. I’ve had great success doing it, but it’s a different approach than clear water. I’ve had amazing days in chocolate milk water color, just gotta know where to throw it.2 points -

Sold a bunch of burrito baits to a guy over SBU back when I still used Facebook. Shortly thereafter some drama popped up and it turns out he was a literal klansman. I could take or leave the burrito baits but doing business with the guy after he said some nasty ish to a friend felt gross.2 points

First Swimbait fish
Bassboydave reacted to kellen.3 for a topic
Caught my first swimbait fish yesterday after putting a total of 8 hours on the hudd68. I feel like I got lucky getting a bite that quick but I guess I put the bait in the right place at the right time for this 8lb 10oz missouri stud!1 point -

Top hook hudd or weedless
CG_Fishes reacted to Mossypumpkin for a topic
Same here. Exclusively weedless hudds for me. The fish I lose on it are dink’s. I’ve caught two of my 8 fish over 7lbs on a weedless hudd. And the only way you lose them is getting them wedged in rock. Don’t have to worry about cables, wood, etc.1 point -

Leviathan Omega - Jig Hook - Beast hook Softies
warrenjeffrey reacted to manansalsa for a topic
too soft imo, then again when fishing soft baits i use a rod that doesn’t even give fish a chance, so if you prefer a rod in between there you might be able to pull it off1 point -

State Records and Handicaps for SUB Tournaments
NorthernClout reacted to Jace D for a topic
No. That record is very old and no fish has ever come even close to that since then. Georgia has big fish but their state (world) record is not really representative of what size fish they have there now. I actually don’t think that George Perry’s world record was legit but that’s just speculation and doesn’t really matter. LOL! SU actually takes into account past entries as well as some other factors (if I’m not mistaken) so that it’s not simply based on state records. The problem with only using state records is that many of the records don’t represent what kind of fish are actually alive and catchable now in a particular state (Georgia is a good example). SU moderators regularly monitor the handicaps and adjust as needed to keep things as fair as possible. Also, just to help with your equation, this equation would give you either a negative number or it would give you exactly 1 lb less than your fish’s weight. But, I see where you were trying to go with this. It’s a clever idea. A scoring system could probably work if the right formula was used.1 point -
Top hook hudd or weedless
Mossypumpkin reacted to CG_Fishes for a topic
I use exclusively weedless hudds, 68s, 6" and 8". In my opinion a weedless hudd is as realistic as a swimbait can get, there is nothing that would make a fish not want to eat. My hookup ratio is extremely high too, you just have to reel into them, then set with a sweep of the rod. Almost all of the fish I have caught on a hudd had the bait pretty much down their gullet, and I believe that the realism of the weedless hudd plays a big part in that. In my opinion, if you want an exposed hook bait there are better options, like the real prey baits, which are amazing1 point -
Happy to have this Whipper Snapper in my collection. I can’t wait to swim it.1 point

Step my step process of the perch glide *disclaimer* I didn't build this bait. My friend and I worked together. I simply told him the dimensions, colors, and style. I have permission to post from him, he doesnt have an account. Let me know what y'all think, it's our first design1 point
