I’d like to take a second to shout out a real one. David Wolthusen is a amazing human. As someone who’s been throwing big baits for years and having kids/buying a house and moving I took a couple years off. Had no clue what prices are and needed to make money for my 3 kids after losing my job. David went way out of his way to properly inform me of current pricing and ended up buying for their current worth, helping me and fam tremendously. Sry for the sob story but it is way more than deserved. Thanks David!!!18 points -

Had this fish follow my bait from under a dock a week earlier and could not get a reaction. Tuned my gantarel in rt gill to slow sink, pulled up to the dock the next week and got her to bite. My biggest bass on a subsurface swim bait at 4.51lbs, not the biggest fish but a new milestone in my book. Super sick to see it follow the bait and stick the fish right next to the boat.8 points -

Well thank you sir. The opportunity to participate was much appreciated. It’s definitely a bad day to be a bass here in NJ with the 2pc Mischief being added to the arsenal.6 points -

10 inch Punker

I have a newer style 10 inch punker I’m looking to trade for other rare 8 inch punkers. 10 inch has never been thrown and is numbered and initialed by Jeremy. Number is rubbed off a bit but, I believe it’s #18. I’m only looking to trade for other rare punkers in the same condition. Bait is NOT FOR SALE! If I can’t find a trade, I’m gonna hold onto it. Looking to trade with reputable members only. Thanks.5 points -

I'll try to get a rat ready to go in the next week or so, I'll do the same deal. You guys pick the colors and I will host a live stream to paint it. People who join the live will get first access, then the rest of the list will continue normally. I will make a different type of list, since some of us had issues reviewing the Google maps ones.5 points -

The Hi Float is great. Wakes good, walks good. Work it with rod twitches fast and it pops out of the water and all over the place. Cranks like a shallow crankbait too which is how it’s been getting bit lately.3 points -

Hey guys, my apologies! After seeing Connor's comments and as hard-headed as I can be sometimes I had to find out for myself. My cousin stopped by and catfishing in the Mississippi River is just about all he ever does. He also says it's a male channel catfish too that maybe trying to spawn and do to his aggressiveness may be the reason you caught it on a wake. Our state record black bullhead is only about 6 lbs. We also have like a brown or yellow bullhead that I knew of that probably averages 2 lbs. but we've just always called it a mudcat. But my cousin does claim that he's seen black bullhead near 8 lbs. but to us they are trash fish so not everyone cares to be in a record book for such a fish. Enjoy!2 points -

Had the opportunity to actually fish @Jinxd12 6” 2.5 oz bait and all I can say is wow. Paint is solid and the colors I chose were spot on for for a generic gill pattern. The swim is really incredible and the bait sits nice and level in the water, wake is awesome with a little shoulder roll, tracks straight as an arrow, walks and spits some water with rod inputs and will crank down about 12”. I fished it on 2 different rods - 1 with 15# and the other with 20 # Izorline copoly. You can def get the bait deeper on the crank with flourocarbon. regarding the crank down - if you tie direct the bait doesn’t want to wake and will only crank down - its absolutely not an issue as I fished it with a #3 decoy egg snap and the wake as well as the crank were spot on it has a very subtle knock. The attached video is actually dead sticking the bait in choppy water so u can see theres plenty of movement. Tail is durable. I fished mine with size 1 Gamakatsu 2X round bends and had zero issues with with hooks marrying or catching the lip or line so the placement of the rotating hook hangers is spot on As most of you that know me - I have quite a few baits and @Jinxd12 bait performs just as good if not better than some hype baits costing 2 to 3 times more . If you’re looking for a great wake bait at a really reasonable price hit @Jinxd12 up I fished the bait last night and had a solid fish on - lost him as I was lifting him over a log fished it today in brite sunny conditions, 95 degree reel feel temps and managed 2 chunky NJ August Bass - one of them wouldn’t cooperate and abandoned ship before i could get a good pic. I’m definitely going to be throwing this a lot more as conditions seem to finally be getting better IMG_0131.MOV1 point -

I’d suggest doing a search for night fishing approaches and techniques - lots of great info on SU. Swimbo did a really good video on it back in the day - if you can find that it is money. Glides do work at night but you’ll probably get faster action with wakes and crankdowns. Big soft swimbaits like Hudds and RS also will score at night.1 point

I don't have any experience with this particular bait. But, I can offer some insight on using UV baits. The last few years the San Diego offshore fishery has seen a huge influx of big bluefin tuna, 100-300lbs. One of the preferred tactics is the use of Shimano flatfall jigs, particularly the Glow color. What's crazy is the fish only bite during a small window, typically between 3am and sunrise. The jigs are dropped to depths of 100-400ft and wound up. With this in mind, those fish are able to see a small metal jig at those depths with no sunlight penetration. Of course anglers are now employing UV lights shined on the jigs before dropping them, to enhance the drawing power of the jigs. My thought...If a tuna can see a metal jig at 300ft in the night, a bass can see a UV enhanced bait in 0-20ft. Will it help it get bit? Who knows...1 point -

It's to my knowledge that bass and many other predator fish are able to see reflected UV light emitted from the sun even when we can't. UV reflective finishes on baits may not look like much to the human eye, but to a fish it's almost like a different color spectrum. It's similar to how some animals can only see and process certain colors I think.1 point
