I'll have to weigh it Ryan, not exactly sure. I was throwing it on the same rod I use for 130 ploppers so I'd say comparable to that. Due to the wings (even being folded on the cast) it doesn't cast as far as a plopper but I'd say it doesn't really matter LOL

You don't have to be anyone to judge this, sorry. First of all, it was posed as a "hypothetical" situation. When he came right out and said "nope, this happened to me, what should I do?" then he should be prepared for the answers that he (or you) might not want to hear. He also asked, "What do you do?" in that situation. Sorry, but the next logical step after finding out it was Daiwa's mistake is to contact them. Again, maybe that's not what you want to hear but I don't need a soap box to tell you the RIGHT thing to do, especially when you publicly ask for opinions. Chances are they'll have no idea it was sent and tell him to keep it, but at least at that point you've seen it through to the end. If you need the internet to tell you what your decision should be in this situation, I feel bad for you. DGAF about feelings....

That one was 7-13 The bat is a crawler. If you've ever seen a Pompadour, you get the idea. It walks along on a straight retrieve, gives a nice little "bloop" and has internal rattles. For comparison, the fish wouldn't touch the Plopper that night, which is odd.

Second biggest fish of the year on the new Savage Gear bat topwater. Really sick bait and as with all their products, affordable as well.

I'd call it "medium" sink rate, faster than a 5, slower than a 12. It's a great little bait, swims like a champ.

Thanks Joe. I was getting a little concerned with the goofy weather this year, thinking they'd drop eggs before I got any to bite. Luckily it calmed down and I was able to get into a few.

I do. I've seen her 4 times following baits back to the boat. Same area, definitely same fish. We dedicate time during each trip to throwing at her during what we feel is peak feeding time. I've seen enough "big" fish to know this one is special. She'll slip up one day.

Just gotta get it wet in high percentage areas. This place has produced many fish like this in a very specific time frame and location.

I'd burn a hardgill on the weed edges. Fleeing bait and aggressive fish sounds like a good plan.
