  1. I just sent a wake jr back that I busted on a hazard bout that was sticking less that 1/2inch out of the water. It was the only thing around within 270 degrees of where I was casting. I sent it to Mickey last Thursday and got it back today. Thanks again Mickey & Rina for always taking care of me.
  2. Nite time is the right time. Make sure you have a good headlamp, back up batteries and a mag light for worst case scenarios. If it is your first time go out before dark and familiarize yourself with your surroundings. Cruz around at your desired distance off the bank and select land marks that will help you orient yourself with your surroundings. Once you get out a few times it is all becomes second nature. I run blacked out, no graphs at clear lake at night. The light makes my eyes constantly adjust, therefore it is easier for me to run without lights.
  3. Thanks Mickey and Rina, I got my bait today! Can't wait to get some teeth marks on this thing.
  4. February 2012 20lb bag at AC Pro AM http://www.anglerschoice.com/2012-pro-event1.htm
  5. OK now I know you lost your mind! Yep no 10lb + fish in these waters, LOL. +1 There are DD's everywhere in California, some norcal lakes more than others, but hell, even Folsom kicked out a +15lber this year.

    seasons2013

I did a trade with seasons2013 and it went well. The bait he traded me was in great condition and he packaged it up with extra protection. Wes
  7. If there arent gone by the end of the month hit me up. I will pick up one off you.

i love this site. yea i figured i'd give it a shot. im gonna wait it out for a couple days... we'll see, if not then i'll just fork out the extra cash. Biteme has one up for sale on the black market
  9. That's what I use for my sinking baits and I've been pretty happy with it. I use braid for all my floating baits because it gives me total control over them. I experimented with 25lb abrasx last year and had nothing but issues with it. If you are interested in the details shoot me a pm.
  10. I have a Blue Trout Wake jr. with minor hook rash (8.5/10 condition) I want to trade for a wake jr. in any other color (except black). I will thow a rising son in with the trade if you are on the fence. *The bait is not for sale
  11. It is a double edge sword for me. I don't like having baits that I am not consistently rotating in the line up...I am not a collector. I reget selling or trading the various 3:16 hard baits I have had over the years. With that being said, I hope those persons who ended up with my old baits are putting them to good use.
  12. Stick my original goal and get a DD from a new lake...On top or on a hudd I don't care. She just needs to get in the boat and not come off at right next to the net. LOL
  13. Big thanks Mickey. This is a bait I have wanted for years.

Speed, Keisel chopped his beard...you got him beat for the time being.
  15. Thanks for the reminder bro. Super stoked at just getting an opportunity to get one I forgot. LOl
  16. Thanks Mickey! Please add me to the list for a Lit up OG Wake. My email is sarwr6@aol.com Thanks so much, Wes
  17. Easy answer I have two of the exact same color and one I have fished the hell out of and the other is lightly used. I purchased both in 2008 before there were the releases that happen today. I Loaned one to a friend two or three years ago and forgot about it. Then, he reminded he still had the bait and gave it back to me. That is why I was hoping to trade for a different color on the lightly used one.
  18. So what I am hearing is there are two things going on: 1. Bartering for baits is easier than buying the baits they want 2. Yes, people are more interested in smaller baits (easier to throw smaller baits, may not have the rod to handle the bigger baits etc.)
  19. Personally, handsdown I think the OG wake is one of Mickey's most badass creations. The bait is boss. I hope to one day end up with one tied to the end of my line. What I am confussed about is how there are a bunch of OG Wakes that go up for trade (not sale) on the blackmarket for smaller 3:16 hard baits (i.e. gills, shads, herring etc.). I have three questions: Are there more guys not throwing this big of bait these days? If so, why not? Why not just initially buy the smaller baits on the releases instead of a bait you might not of initially wanted?
