I have a Med Nez Rat that I am looking to trade for something larger. This is an original paint job from Scott and I have never seen another one like it. It has only been fished twice but there is one small paint chip as you can see in the third photo. My number one choice would be a 10†FS but I would also be interested in an 8†Freestyle trout or bass. Would also entertain other 8â€+ swimbait offers. I am not looking for any hudds, spros, or slammers. Please email me at (deweesejared at aol dot com) as the Su inbox fills up too quickly. Thanks!

Ben speaks the truth. I've never had one open by accident. I have a good friend that turned me onto these about 5 years ago and they are indeed solid. I personally witnessed a 30lb striper caught while he was using one.

SICK! So you basically have a line through 3:16 version of a Rago Soft Tool. Sweet.

This may have changed but last I checked, having your 3:16 repainted will void the warranty on the bait.

Loomis SB Rods - Any Changes to the Newer Ones? (Less $)

I had a 795ML and a 955 at the same time and though they are both good rods, I sold the 795ML. It was fine for smaller hard baits (wake jr and smaller) and great for a 6" punker but I found I missed a lot of fish on soft baits with it. Maybe I just suck but I found that the 955 servered me well on both soft baits and hard baits. Just my two cents that you didn't ask for -
Yeah you wont find too much shore access at Pyramid. The main lake at Castaic is stocked at the East ramp and there were schools of trout tooling around there last weekend. Problem is that you will have plenty of company if it is a weekend. I would hop off the 5 at the 152 and toss around O'neill Forebay. Plenty of shore access there and it useally paid off for me on my trips between SoCal and the Bay Area. Good luck!

That is good stuff right there. Sometimes it seems like we pay too much attention to the obvious and forget about the subtle aspects of a bait. I would argue that it is the subtle movements in a bait that turns followers into biters.

I would personally wait until summer and combine your trips. They will bite in Feb, no doubt... but it I wouldn't go as far as to say it is the best month of the year. Not sure where you are coming from but I would try to do some saltwater bassing while you are out here.

I typically loose my mojo before a bait does Honestly the longer I have or fish a bait, the more confindence I have in it.

I second Ceaser on this one!

Was fishing Saturday so I went yesterday. Only thing I picked up was a Moreau Rat and a Bass Knuckle Hat. This is the first one I have been to in four years and I must say that it seemed pretty small compared to past events. Wish I would have been able to make it Saturday though to see more of the clan. I was out at DVL on Friday and there was a gent who recognized my LDC from his boat and mentioned that he was going to meet up with Ben there on Saturday.

Here is one of them but it is not the one I was looking for. http://www.swimbaitunderground.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2063&hilit=generic+rago Speed is a pro at this and could probably help out.

Do some searching, this was brought up over a year ago on here and Mickey chimmed in with his reasons if I remember correctly.

There is an 8" Custom Bass TT sitting at the bottom of Kitchen Lake in Oklahoma. After that I swore to never throw a sinking swimbait from the shore. Well that lasted less than a year and there is a 7" Hitch TT and Gold Hudd in the rocks along the east shore of Hefner. Man am I glad to be back in California where I get to throw out of a boat most of the time. I have yet to break one off on a fish or a cast though. knock on wood!

Looks like a good day at Hefner. I fished that place hard over the last three years and never stuck a single smallie. Big smelly gizzards were another story

One hell of a Hybrid there. Congrats!

Bitten by the bug. What to do with all my dropshotting gear

I'm not sure where you live but the light gear is great for inshore saltwater fishing. -
That is awesome bro!
