  1. Rago Poppa Walka is a good walk the dog bait there around $50, there’s a bunch of Musky walking baits for less $$ but most are loaded up with rattles and not that great for LM fishing.
  2. Found 1 on the dinning room table message me if you’re interested.
  3. RP Shiner is my go to favorite soft SB in New England lakes + ponds; it’s an awesome bait for skipping under docks and into log jams. Medium sink top-hook is the 1 I like best. This RP Shiner skipped into some wood fooled this Mass LM in early March a week earlier this pond was totally locked up with winter ice, bet there’s not much ice in South Africa. Think Spring.
  4. Ramp areas that get stocked are great places to land a PB size fall LM best advice is search the Mass DEP web sites for maps and information on all lakes there’s also a trout stocking list. A milk run of 3 or 4 freshly stocked trout ponds is a great fall pattern. Freshly stocked ramp area C+R shot added from last fall. https://www.mass.gov/masswildlife-fish-stocking-program
  5. 2 Custom painted Cranking Baby’s + a Vole from Clayton, great Northern Pike patterns.
  6. Bought myself a New Ranger things where getting a little crowded in my Crawdad.
  7. Nice score the LM in Bassachusetts love the Pink Slammer.
  8. Made a boom cast to what I thought was wood, wrong I ended up hooking this.

Nice PA HOG. Anything good from your late April CT trip?
  10. A ton of big LM all over the US have been landed on Joe’s baits got a feel Joe’s going to be surprised with the # of orders he receives. If Joe decides on making anymore Snake’s my advice is to get 1, there was a tight lipped gang of Nor-Cal guys that caught giant LM on Joe’s snake. I prefer the 2X WT because of the extra sound it makes but there are times a 1X will out produce the 2X best advice is buy both of them. Added A photo of my best 2X WT LM she was 7.9 and a shot of my California friends 9.7 1X WT LM.
  11. Agree. The best way to fool a Q giant SM is dragging a jigs from opening day till a week or 2 into May that’s when spook walk the dog and poppers fool BIGINS, last May 14th I netted this 6lb even for my friend Joe she was C+ R on a walk the dog bait.
  12. Still Pre-spawn but we should see a few beds soon. Mix in a 3/8oz tungsten ball head with green pumpkin colored 3†+ 4†craw baits is my best advice worked up hill, 2 weekends ago me and my friend found two wolf pack of BIGINS we had 3 over 5 in the live-well with 3 others that went 4.15 both days we C+R over 45 SM. All SM where set free as soon as we moved on to another area, last weekend our #s where down but the average size was up with a 6.1 GORILA by my friend Joe that’s 2 years in a row with 1 over 6 for him. It’s an incredible fishery for both SM + LM.
  13. Masshole scumbag…. I know a Mass State Trooper that lives in the Ware Mass area I’m going to ask him if he can visit this clown, also looking at his FB page he’s a Q fisherman this is his Q boat he posted on his FB page. SBU Q police will be looking for that boat.
  14. MS Slammer but change the hooks, my PB MS LM in RI was C+R on that same color but it was a 2X. Dream Big.
  15. Crazy Storm salt-water SB for some reason is the must have on bait in Mexico you would think tilapia imitations would work well, this 12lb floater had a tilapia stuck in its mouth. The other 1 was on a Storm color white with dipped char tail.
  16. Great trip guys I went back in 2007 the top-water after lunch popper and spook bite was insane, dead flat calm 95 degrees = top-water explosions + the after dinner entertainment was also good.
  17. I like new moon the best for fishing clear water lakes off colored waters in my area fish better on brighter moon nights, key in a moon shade lines is always a killer pattern. Slammers Wake-Jr + Rat baits are the hard baits I like best, soft plastics like the Real-Prey Golden Shiner and 3:16 Rising Son both move a ton of water and are proven good night time baits. Color is a personal preference, whites on bright nights and dark on dark nights is what I use mostly. Slow a steady retrieves at night work best on my New England Lakes + Ponds. Think Spring.-Dan
  18. Agree Mike's a 1st class guy to deal with… Mike used to come east to fish Striped bass with a friend so I was able to meet him and talk about Swim-Baits, awesome guy he sent me this 20†plus 2X Louisville slugger Slammer for Northern Pike I think it’s the biggest Slammer ever made. That’s it next to a few 9†+ 10" Slammer.
  19. Old BAA Kio that Brock painted for me back in 2009.
  20. Lots of great lakes to fish in Maine for both LM + SM plus there’s world class Northern Pike fishing, I mostly fish for them when I visit Maine and I mostly fish southern Maine and the Belgrade area ponds. The Punker Pike bite is incredible in the fall.
