  7. Thanks fellas, appreciate the bumps. Time for me to start chasin feathers instead of fins....shell money!
  8. Ive got a few baits I need to move, just dont see much water time anymore. Gonna start it as a lot before I decide to break up. I'll cover shipping costs. Some baits have some minor wear, and some have never been fished but have been sitting in the tackle box. $130 Shipped for everything.
  9. Try a small very thin paint scraper and lightly tap it between the bill and bait to break up any glue. I do this on both sides of the bill and it should come out with very little effort. Not always the case...but the ones I have broke have broke clean as well.
  10. Clayton told me the possom tails were a local hand pour. He was more than cool about sending me some extras. He also suggested magnum trick worms in a pinch. Im a fan of creme worms and regular trick worms on smaller rats. Just recently Ceaser put me onto using more flexible "hand pour" type finesse worms for more action, especially on HIS baits.... Willard knows his rats.
  11. A large bottom hook black rising son and a punker are worth a shot.

  13. viewtopic.php?f=11&t=11016 Strikingly familiar. This bait was a home brew that was posted on the Nation's swimbait making section, and eventually made its way to eBay for like $65 DAYS ago and took forever to sell. Can't forget those "eyes" the maker had said he used golf tees. It was still rocking the no paint then, at least someone upgraded him. Lol! By any means necessary I suppose...
  14. My experience is almost the opposite when it comes to line memory. Virtually zero. The way the line is put on the spool and the way it comes off makes it far less prone to line memory in my experience. I am a big fan of the Suffix brand of lines, the Seige mono and braid specifically. I use 20 and 25 for swimbaits and the 65 and 80lb braid for frogs and punching. I have tried there camo and was a big fan of it until one faitful day where I casted off a handful of baits in 2 days of fishing while using line that was less than a week old. Could have been a bad spool, but I have since gone back to the clear and havent had any issues since. Like said this line is extremley tough, but still casts like butta, both the braid and mono. The mono has some stretch, which some don't like, but that is what it was designed to do. Extremly abrasion resistant and good knot strength IMO.

Bassfest was a blast bro, and the 3 fish limit was definitely a good thing. Speaking of which they announced this years dates... Holla at ya boy if you need a backseater!
  16. Awesome read and good fish man. Glad to see the possum still getting it done.
  17. This about sums it up. Ive got an 870 that is close to 15 years old and another I use as a back up gun. Both have been beat to hell, from, wind, rain, dirt, sand, blood and everything else. Rusted, cleaned, spray painted, stripped, painted again. I have since "upgraded" and still find myself shooting the 870 75% of the time. Ive been in field situtations too many times withh hunting buddies and have had the big name semi-autos (the SBE2 and Browning Maxus) fail on multiple occasions. More moving parts on a gun equals a higher chance of failure. Period. Unless you really plan on hunting 100+ days a year, or anticpate long walks (semis are typically lighter) and heavy shooting, stick with a pump. A pump will teach you to be selective in your harvest as well, rather than unloading all 3 rounds just becasue you can. Will save you in ammo in the long run, trust me. Dont really understand the slowing of the learning curve. Pumps & double guns are the fundamental basis to wing shooting. Generations before us certainly had no issues. There is a nostalgic sentiment to them as well. Grizz and his Brownings are a perfect example. Some things are better suited for a simplistic approach. With that being said I personally dont think the newer 870 are made the same as the older ones. Same goes for the 11-87. QC took a dive in the last 10 years for remington. Just something to think about. The browning BPS is another fine pump shotgun, as is the Benilli Nova. But as stated gun fit is the number one thing when it comes to proper shooting.
  18. Anybody know how to get a hold of Ken? Ive tried numerous times both phone and email with no luck. Still havent had a response in regards to correcting the address it wanted to auto populate during the checkout. Would be bummed to find my baits were sent to a place i havent lived at for over a year.
