I would personally try and get in touch with Peter the rep for roman made here in the states. Triv is right....these baits are so fine tuned the slightest difference WILL affect the action. Ask me how I know. Me and Peter went back and forth for a while as I was looking for some different hooks to use (not a big fan of the salt grey hooks) and experienced the same issue with the bait performing differently when anything but the stock hooks were used. He was supposed to do some research and find some alternatives, but I ended up losing communication with him so never really got an answer. Needless to say the stock hooks went back on. This bait does sink painfully slow, but it is designed to be fished in the upper part of the water column. And with all the "super slow sink butch brown tuned" deps baits going around, you might be better of leaving it be. Ceaser offers some good advice as well and he surely knows how to tinker and frankenstein stock baits to get them to perform how he wants. Might be worth a shot.

A silent killer is a floating billed wake bait. A tuned or converted slide swimmer is the same bait with the bill removed and weight added to create a glide bait. The 175 only comes in the silent killer model unless converted. Where as the 115 and 250 come in both versions from the factory.

Same here. Was able to get baits, but it auto populated my old address even after updating it. Said screw it and checked out anyways. Hope Ken sees my follow up email with the address correction.

I made and even sold quite a few after finding a screaming deal on both 6 and 8 inch hudds. There was also a few past threads on this. They do work quite well for weedy waters, and the smaller 6 inch profile is better for pitching in tight cover than an 8. At least where I fish. Easy to make though, but can be an expensive "OOPS" if you arent careful. I've seen some where the tails are almost stacked, but I preferred to cut mine so they were flush and both tails matched up. Almost looked factory. Good luck either way, I would imagine this bait is somewhere on Kens back burner, time will tell.

LoL! Know what brand? I really really like it. There are a few small lakes around here with gold carp and that looks like a good baby mock of one. Pretty sure it's a Morgan Lures gill. Cool baits, great guy too.
