  1. I have been registered with Huddleston for over 3 years and have not had an increase in spam. As the others said only updates and news about release of their baits and of course great service.
  2. I purchased one of his glide shad baits and believe me the wait is worth it. I had a few questions about how was the best way to fish his bait and he sent me a long email that explained how he fshed the baits himself. He also went to the trouble to make mine heavier that the other baits. He is one very nice person and his baits are the best I have fished so far. Thanks Randall.
  3. I have been fishing swimbaits for the past 3 years and last summer purchased some Hard Gills. Have caught fish on them during the summer and fall. What does the water temperature have to reach before they become effective in the pre spawn. The water temperature has reached 48 degrees in the lake I fish most. Thanks
  4. I fish a TVA lake in east Tenn called Norris. It has over 800 miles of shoreline and its surface area covers 34,000 acres and can be over 200 feet deep in the main channel. Its gets alot of fishing pressure but is so large even in a large tournament you will not be close to or see another boat until weigh in. Most here only fish the soft and soft bodied hollow swimbaits. In fact most of the "good ole boys" laugh at my triple trouts, ms slammers, bull shads and etc. The large hard baits and Hudds have not caught on here yet and I hope it stays that way so the fish here seldom see a large swimbait.
  5. Get a ABU Ambassedeur 5500C4 or a 6600C4. They are also easy to have tuned and are bullet proof. I started out with the more expensive Shimano round reels but now the Ambassedeurs are what I use.
  6. Get in touch with Kevin at proreelservice. He has done work on all my reels and his work is first class and his prices are reasonable.
  7. I have been using the P-Line CXX in 30# for my 10" baits ad 8" Hudds. I use the 20# amd 25# CXX for my 6" and medium baits. I use the 15#CXX for my S wavers and glide baits and Matt Lure Hard Gills. I have not used any braided line until just recently and use the Suffix 832 in 80#. I have only one reel with braid and it does not get used much at all now. I just do not feel comfortable using braid with these high dollar baits.
  8. I also just received my bait from Randall on Tuesday. I was just "blown away" by the realism and quaility of the bait. I really do not know what I was expecting but I can not even begin to tell anyone just how pleased I am with the bait. This is one bait that the wait was worth it and I am going to get back on the waiting list for another. Thanks Randall.
  9. I fish a large, deep, clear TVA impoumdment whose temperature is currently 47F. The Hudd 68 or 8 inch fished very slow are my go to baits in cold water temps. I was wondering what you guys thought would be another good cold weather bait for this impoundment. Big hammer, Bull Shad, Triple Trout, any type S waver like River 2 Sea or Deps or even Matt Lure Hard Gill. I really do not like to fish a jig. Thanks for any suggestions you might make.
  10. I hope the 3:16 baits get easier to get for I have been 3 years just trying to buy a 6" FS Shad with no luck. By the time I get to the site everything is sold out. It never fails when there have been hints of when the sale will take place I always have a heavy surgery schedule and I am not around a computer.
  11. I use the KVD on my 30# CXX line and it makes it as manageable as most 10# lines. I see no way I could fish the 30#CXX without it. I have never used any of the others so I can not comment on them.
  12. Would you put the Tylure 8" glider above the s waver as you do the deps, gans craft glide baits.
  13. I use an Ambassedeur C4 6600 for my large baits, an Ambassedeur 5600 C4 for medium baits and a Daiwa Zillion for the small baits.
  14. I have some Gan Craft Jointed Claw Shape S 5.3" coming from TW. What size hook do all of you use when rigging the bait and is there any way to rig it from the usual way that will produce more hits. Thanks
  15. Be sure to get a Mattlures Hardgill in FS. Have had one only a short time and it will and does catch fish at least for me. No huge or PB yet on this lure but feel it is capable of producing these type fish when I learn how to fish and where to fish the bait.
  16. I have been using his baits for over a year and they will catch fish. Especially the alewife/shad. My best with his shad has been 7lbs 12oz.
  17. Pat if there is any way I would love to be on the list also. I will take any color available. Thanks
  18. I throw swimbaits at least 90% of the time. The only time I do not thrown them is when my grandson fishes with me but he is starting to get the bug. He is only 8 y/o but caught a 8.5# LMB on a Hudd 68. Am having him a custom spinning swimbait rod made as he still has troubles with a baitcaster. I think it will not be long before we will be fishing swimbaits 100% of the time.
  19. The silver and black Hudd68 has worked very well for me on the SM bass but the solid white 68 is death on them in my lake. It is a deep clear TVA lake like Dale Hollow. Have been wanting to go to Dale Hollow to try the 68's.
