Is it shoulder pain or muscle soreness?
-
I bought 4 Rof 12 and I only tried one of them. It ran on its side. I tried adjusting by bending the internal weight. That didn't work. That was my last experience with Huddleston.

I would get MS Slammer Triple trout Rising Son (top hook) You can fish the entire water column with these baits and get them all for around $100. If you have extra $ laying around pick up Mattlures Hardgill. These 4 baits are classics and proven time and again. I can't in good faith recommend Huddleston because of their terrible customer relations. Also many people say Deps 250, but unless you are shelling out big dollars for an original you will likley need to tune the bait. If a glide bait is necessary, the Gan Craft 230 or 178 seems to be very underrated.

Ok. You guys say paint it, but offer no tips on how to paint it. In fact, the people say just paint it and fish the work was done by someone else. I am just getting into painting and dont want to fk it up. Thanks to those who have PMd me with tips.

Ok. Can you explain or PM me? Are we painting the body or the outer shell?

Same experience here.
-
Anyone have experience painting one? I am concerned about painting the outer shell since it is a soft plastic.

Having fished out of many boats I would go with MK over the Motorguide. It always seemed quieter to me. All my friends that owned Motorguide made the switch to MK.
-
Like others have stated I would check out Moam sticks.

I have 2 - 250 in my plano box and never experienced bent tails. I must admit that I take them out of the boat on hot days and when I am done fishing.

Why hang hardbaits? Just throw them in a plano box and be done with it. If you are worried about scratches/tangles throw on some hook bonnets.

Golden Dorado a member of the trout family in Argentina. I watched a documentry and they were testing the Curado 300 at that time. The top water bites were so explosive they were breaking large wooden plugs in half.

I agree. His paint jobs are really good. I have a couple of plastic punkers that he painted when they were first released.

I am not careful enough with the brush and end up contaminating the bottle. -
It probably doesn't hurt, but liklely doesn't help that much. Many baits are designed look great to catch fisherman more so than fish. Just look at some of the older swimbaits, they were not super realistic but still caught fish. To me, fishing angles and bait placement are more important than how a swimbait looks.

The number of locked threads over the past 6 months has been more than I ever remember. THIS IS THE UNDERGROUND or have we forgot why the Underground came to exist? I will remind everyone, it was because of Swimbait Nation was banning anyone that had the slightest complaint about a baitmakers product (who were paid advertisers) that were deliberately misleading the swimbait community. Threads locked about baitmakers and people doing custom work is BS. Baitmakers and people doing custom work have every right to come to this forum to defend themselves. Half the time, I see them lurking but are too chickensht to respond to a thread. Stop locking threads. We have already lost enough old timers that used to contribute a lot of information.

Some amazing collections in this thread.
