  1. Two guys backed out. Still available.
  2. If you left it in the car in the summer, just be glad the only thing that happened was a melted tail.
  3. It welds the PVC together by melting both surfaces. I'd be willing to bet its a stronger bond than you would get with epoxy and PVC.
  4. If you're just asking about gluing PVC to itself? Use the PVC cement. If it can handle holding low pressure water line, it can hold a fishing rod...
  5. Hell yea. Used to love those guys. One of my all time favorite bands, also from Gainesville. Nobody does ish like this. Big fan of all the Doomtree stuff Old, but I don't care.
  6. The BBR rods are back bounce rods. Back bouncing doesn't involve loading a rod overhead and throwing 4oz of weight 50yds. That 964 is rated 1-6oz with back bouncing in mind. I wouldn't want to fish an 8" hudd on either of them honestly. The 966 or XH Okuma would be my choice if you had those options. Otherwise, if you're really only going to be fishing baits like the 68, 7" TT, 6" Osprey/Rising Son, injected 6" punker, whatever. But I wouldn't go near 6oz baits with a 964. That said, if those are your two options, the Loomis at that price is a much nicer rod.
  7. $50. Only price drop before I just give it to a friend of mine.
  8. I haven't responded because its a pain in the ass to respond to 12 PMs from a phone in the middle of the day. You will hear back from me. Those that know me, that have my phone number, got quick responses. I don't have a price on it, because I need to raise some cash. If I didn't need the cash, I'd keep the bait. I've lost them before and would prefer to have a backup. But there's more important ish than backup swimbaits at the moment. I hate doing the "offers" ish. And usually won't even bother sending a pm when I'm on the other end of this deal. So if you have an issue with it, you always have that option, and I understand.
  9. It's been used, caught plenty of fish. I don't know if they're still made. It's a resin bait, with two trebles, with kind of a unique bill and action for anyone not familiar. Looking for $60, Shipped. You cover PayPal fees.
  10. Looking to sell mostly. I might be willing to trade if it's worth it and something I'll use. Bait is like new. Been fished once for maybe 30-45mins. Have others I fish, and just don't really need this one.
  11. You shouldn't need to be able to hold the weight of the bait with spool tension. Think about it. Spool shaft is the same size in a curado 200 and a Calcutta 300/400. Contact area on the end of the shaft is the same, where tension (friction) is applied. You have to apply a lot more pressure on the end of the spool shaft to hold a 4oz bait from moving, compared to a 1/2oz jig. You're going to end up killing casting distance, and in a much shorter time dent the shims/spacers under the tension cap to the point where you'll have to replace them after you flip them a couple times. The most tension I ever use is maybe just enough to take the side to side slop out of the spool. Most times, no tension at all. Try it. A lot easier to throw big baits on loose reels than regular small stuff. Also, the tension knob is really tight on the new Calcutta. It'll loosen up after a bit, but you may not have even bottomed out the tension cap yet. If there's no side to slide slop in the spool you may have though. Wanted to point that out just in case.
  12. Lol Can't wait for those injected 250s. They're going to be awesome.
  13. The D is nice for sure. But at its MSRP, I'm not a big fan. I have a 401D, and I like it fine. It is definitely smooth, thanks to the two bearings on the pinion gear. It casts fine, but to me it's a little quirky. I run 3 brakes on that reel, which I've never had to or wanted to do with any Shimano. I can get away with running two, but its a little easier to backlash at the beginning of the cast if you're not paying attention. Once I got used to the slight differences, it was no problem. Also, I don't think it's any more comfortable to hold than the TE. I do like the longer handle though.
  14. Yea, the larger 300/400 sized reels won't be out until 2015 some time. Differences between the 400TE and the Conquest 400... Handle, drag star, tension cap are different, both nicer on the Conquest. Drag star and Tension click on Conquest Bearings under knobs on Conquest Porting in the side plate and top of the Conquest Other than that, nothing different. The Conquest feels like a nicer reel. The manufacturing tolerances may be a bit tighter, no way for me to measure that, but it does feel smoother. Bearings under the knobs help too. As far as price vs. performance goes, you'd have to decide on that. I wouldn't pay $150-$200 more for a Conquest 400 than a 400TE. But stock has dried up of both reels, and the best price I'd seen for a brand new Conquest 400 was about $420, probably a year ago or more.
  15. So, what if the selling price is $30?
  16. Not that a kayak is a whole lot safer should you piss off a lizard, but there's something to be said for not dangling bait in the water...
  17. Been used, caught a bunch of fish. Somehow still has the original tail. Pretty unique action to it. $60
