    Just fish and hunt. Hunt birds a little but my favorite that I do every year are deer here in Calif and elk in Colorado.

    Since my only swimbait results have been on Hudds and other soft swimbaits, slow has been my best retrieve.

    Ok Don, I'll post up a question or two that I would like some clarity on. What are the GPS coordinates of your best swimbait spots and how do you approach them? Diagrams of how you present each cast to the spots would be great.

    I'm still in. Back in the day the Miller High Life Nite Classic was the biggest thing going in Calif. Everyone would turn out for it. It used to be a draw which was a lot of fun because you got exposed to a lot of different fishing tecniques.

    When I read the tittle I was trying to figure out how your day got better at the office. Mine always gets worse the minute I walk into the office.

    I have fished for bass for a long, long time. Fished tourneys for many years, got bored with that. So swimbaits were something new for me to learn and a way to up my game. Problem has been one of time. I have many interests in fishing besides bass; sturgeon, big trout, salmon. And my dad fishes with me most of the time, so the time I have available to dedicate to swimbaits has been somewhat limited.

    Went fishing, and catching. Hit up Melones and wacked the spots. No swimbait fish though.

    Why not pink? As some of the guys have said pink worms, etc have been around a long time and work well. Another loud unnatural color that works well in a lot of baits is chartuese and has been used forever in spinnerbaits, cranks, etc. I saw the pics of the 6" Freestyles in chartuse and imediately thought man those would rock for spotted bass.

    Back off the roids, that stuff will turn your grapes into rasins. Won't be able to see much in your bed fishing vid, the camera angle you use is all wrong.
