  1. I've used an Okuma XH and a couple other rods with longer handles sitting in a kayak with no issues. It might take a few minutes to get comfortable with it, but you should be fine.
  2. Here are a couple pics. I couldn't send them in a PM.
  3. I put in an order for one a couple days ago. Looking forward to trying it out this spring.
  4. The Plano boxes are the way to go. If your yak can accommodate it, strap a milk crate behind your seat, bolt on a few PVC rod holders, and load it up.
  5. White/red head is my go-to color for spooks. It's also a great striper/saltwater pattern - caught my PB striper on a white/red head Bomber.
  6. x2 on the MS Slammer. The 9" is the first swimbait I caught fish on.
  7. X2 - Love hearing fish crush wake baits at night.
  8. I have one in Bluegill and all white. Both are used, but in great shape. The white one has upgraded hooks and no feathers on the rear hook. $40 shipped for either.
  9. Nice fish! I have a couple of those eels and don't fish them nearly enough.
  10. Congrats on breaking in the new boat. That possum is HUGE!
  11. Cool looking rat. Nice job breaking it in!
  12. Great story! I've been fishing the smaller Whopper Plopper quite a bit too recently. It has been great for me right at dusk.
  13. Thanks for the idea, I have to try this!
  14. There's one pond I fish that I fairly regularly have crappie hit topwater. So far, I've caught them on Super Spooks, buzzbaits, Jitterbugs, and, just a couple weeks ago, a Slammer. He actually blew up on it pretty hard too.
  15. Great report! Love the battle scars on that Slammer.
  16. X2 - A "7 MS Slammer might also be a good bait to try out.
  17. Zillion, I don't know how far you are from Wickford, RI, but check out the RI Kayak Centre, they do $25 demos and will put that money towards the purchase price if you decide to buy. It's been a couple years since I've been there, but they had a pretty good selection, Wilderness, Ocean Kayak, Hobie, etc.
  18. When I ordered 68s a couple months ago, I received them 4 weeks or so later.
  19. I bought my 1st Slammer from Bill too! I also got my 1st swimbait rod from him.
  20. 9" Slammer - it's beat up, but still a go-to. Easily 100+ fish on it.
  21. Not a bad way to salvage the trip. Congrats on the catch!
