Yeah I've found that out with the bass, I've pulled some hawgs out of tiny ponds. I just never thought I would find such good striper fishing. Its pretty cool.

Yeah these stripes are stocked in the rivers here. They never go out to the oceans just get into the brackish rivers and bays. There only active in the winter since the waters so warm most of the year. When late spring hits the hibernate in the deep holes and springs. There a blast though got 15 so far all on topwater nothing smaller then 6 lbs.

Thanks fellas that pict doesn't do the fish justice theses stripes are completly different than the ones ive caught from california. The shoulders that fish had were crazy. I released it but if I were to fillet that fish, the fillet's would of been about 3.5 to 4 inches tall. They look like castaic lagoon pigs.

Ha! Yeah everytime I talk to him his all bummed out. Good to see your starting to get into them. Hopefully they will eventually put that lake back on the stock list. Fishing is pretty cool out here Im fishing the st johns river throwing small swimbaits and giant worms catching redfish and bass off the same docks kinda crazy biggest so far is a 9 lber on a 10 inch worm. Been going down to key west getting big tarpon on ospreys and big hammers thats pretty fun but still miss throwin the hudd for pigs out there.

Looks like a florida fish if only they stocked trout out here these fish would be huge. A 9 lber here has the head of a 15 lb california fish.
