Well, still no trout plants. But they're getting bigger! Once again, absolutely destroying the magnum. These girls are hungry! Ol' Reliable Dobyns 867, Shimano 300TE, paired with a Baitsmith Magnum. Tipping the scales to a resectable 7-10.

I only use the jig hook. Especially now that Huddleston has the top hook ROF 5 modle. The baits (too me) move through the rocks better and give more solid hook ups. Only when the hooks is ground down to uselessness, do I cut it off and BB rig it.

This year has been stellar for me so far, especially for swimbaits. It is all coming together after putting years of effort into countless days of blanking out. Hope you all enjoy these memories I have been able to capture. Thanks SU!

Awesome fish, she was one of two for the day. I find it funny on my home lake, if you get one, there is a couple more in there right behind it. This one went 7.88 on the digital. -

This here fish would have easily broken my PB. She was massive. She was the 3rd cast of the day and 3rd fish of the day. I was able to measure her and she went 25". From talking to people it looks like she was my first DD. But that will never be confirmed. Either way, just an amazing fish. One of the few largies to actually peel drag on me since I have thrown a swimbait. -

No 2: Same scenario, 1 of 5 for the day, and was on back to back casts of the day. Figuring that this one was either upper 6's or low 7's. -

First Cast, Same spot, Different day. I believe I stumbled upon a school of larger females staging ready to spawn and they were hungry! No scale for some of these fish. But it was an epic day of 5 on the swimbait ranging from 4 to 10lbs. This one was easily in the 8lb class and was one of 3 on back to back casts. -

This is my official PB. She went 8-13 and just like the 7.3, she was feeding on trout, but was unfortunately skinny from a tough winter.
