  1. I had to get on the water tonight and see how the ladies responded to the eclipse. I had on my trusty 9 inch MS Slammer. She rolled on it in about 4 feet of water, and dove for the bottom, a silent hit. I thought it might have been a large pickerel, until she started to swing my yak and my MH rod bent. She went 5.7. Almost lost her trying to get her in the kayak. You can see she actually came unhooked as i netted her. She was the only fish I got in 3 hrs. Sweet.
  2. Sister got her first bass/swimbait fish. She said she wanted to catch a fish and measure it. First trip she didn’t get one but yesterday she got a good one at least for here in Wa. Awesome to see her get a fish and a great memory. She said “ My legs are shaking”
  3. Need some help identifying these swim baits . I know 1 is a KGB chad shad and there’s a couple hudd soft baits and the turquoise deps 250 but I need help with the others. Picked these up at a garage sale last weekend.

    New PR/PB??

Hey guys caught this fish 4/11/22, with the four scales on our faces @Sstevo and I determined 8.5-9 let me know what y’all think my previous or was a 8#3oz!! Best of luck..tight lines!
  5. Didn’t get a weight as I was just stoked to get a fish on a cold and windy lake havasu day on the 1s Of the year. But biggest smallie I’ve caught before. Caught on the proto 6.5” ds glide shad
  6. Caught this 8 lb 1 oz stud in the middle of July heat. Slow (painfully slow) rolling the Keitech 7.8 inch - a bait which I have fished hard and consistently for the past two years. The price and availability of the bait makes for a reliable fish catching tool in Delaware. Something like a citizen or battleshad may be more productive; however, the presence of pickerel makes me feel as if it may be tough to truly commit to and learn the bait. You lose two citizens to pickerel, you may have to wait a while to restock - whereas I can always have plenty of Keitech 7.8's in my box.

    Connecticut PB

Turns the KBG chad shad is worth the hype. Literally my first day using it and I catch my PB, interesting how that works. 5lbs 5oz
  8. 20210609_061701_1.mp4 VID_48001226_055808_315.mp4 Was out with my buddy today, just finally updated my personal baits to the models I sell, been using beta rats for the most part. 2+hours and no bites.. was feeling beaten and wanted to switch to the 1 piece but stuck it out and it paid off. Love getting goose water in my mouth, yuck.
  9. Took my wife fishing and she stole my rod. Looks like I’m ordering a custom rod for her this week! Glad I got it on the GoPro that she got me for Christmas! IMG_7069.MP4
  10. No DD but still gets me super stoked to catch my new PB! Swam it over a lay down while paralleling and watched her come up and eat it! Such an awesome experience!
  11. New PB 7.9lbs on a toxic wake and crank. Tough day battling swirling winds. I’m fishing out of a crawdad so it gets blown around like a styrofoam cup. Tucked out of the wind in a small cove with some lay downs. Cranked down the last lay down and right at the end it gets smashed. Didn’t realize it was that big till it was at the boat. A nice clean healthy fish. It’s been a while since I caught a real nice one so I’m pretty stoked

  14. Caught my first swimbait fish yesterday after putting a total of 8 hours on the hudd68. I feel like I got lucky getting a bite that quick but I guess I put the bait in the right place at the right time for this 8lb 10oz missouri stud!
  15. First post, so I’m not sure if I messed anything up. Recently I’ve been obsessed with trying to catch the biggest bass you can possibly hook. I’m just curious what bait you guys caught your PBs on. (Also, could someone explain to me what the green number beside others profiles are?)
  16. How do moon phases create scenarios in which trophy bass are more likely to feed and how much greater are your odds in catching one during a certain phase vs another?
  17. My goal this year was to make it to the 30 lb club and this big girl made it happen! The stoke is real! Im gonna be smiling for days!
  18. A few days ago I joined Swimbait Underground and yesterday I caught my biggest bass ever... coincidence... I think not! About a year ago I began throwing swimbaits and struggled. In Oregon our bass are not notorious for their swimbait eating ability; however, they still eat them good! Due to this, at first I didn't have too much confidence and I wondered if it could be done. After a few months of throwing a glidebait, I finally connected with my first fish: a 3 lb smallmouth that ate off a concrete wall in downtown Portland. Since then, the addiction has steadily increased. I acquired baits such as the Megabass I-Slide 185 and 262, the Deps Slide Swimmer 175 and 250, the Gancraft Jointed Claw 178 and 230, Working Class Zero 6 and 7 Citizen, and I was lucky enough to find a 3:16 Wake Jr from a coworker (I work at a tackle shop) for a fraction of what they resell for. Since I started swimbait fishing (not exclusively) I have found success throughout a variety of Oregon and Washington waters. Before the events that took place over the past few days, my biggest swimbait fish were around a 3.5-4 lb smallmouth and a 3 lb largemouth. However, after recently finding a Roman Made Negotiator in Oikawa Mesu, I put in a full two days at a local lake that has a fairly healthy population of trout. On the second day at 8:30 in the morning, I made a long cast over deep open water where I had seen trout eating off the surface. I began a slow and steady retrieve feeling the bait make wide turns back and forth and about 10 feet in front of the boat, right as I could start to see the bait, I saw the biggest bass I have ever seen make a beeline towards my bait. My eyes became incredibly wide and it took all I could muster to continue the slow and steady retrieve without yelling in excitement and anticipation. Before I knew what had happened, the bass sucked the Negotiator in head first. There was no hesitation, no doubt in its mind, that bass intended to obliterate that bait. After what seemed like an endless battle of violent head shakes and a terrifying run under my boat, the fish was finally in the net. After giving it plenty of oxygen in the livewell, the fish weighed in at 6.96 lbs of pure northern strain goodness! I look forward to learning and contributing more to Swimbait Underground! Gear used: Roman Made Negotiator in Oikawa Mesu Shimano Curado 200k with 20 lb Seagar Abrazx Dobyns Fury 795
