  1. very nice and yes you should sell them!
  2. Long drop of about 3' of line. Bait near the ground and hard but smooth side armed cast does the trick. Feather the spool a touch early and it will fly straight.
  3. I have fished everything and always go back to round reels. 400 size capacity is crucial when throwing big baits for big fish. every time I fish 300 sized reels I end up regretting it. At the end of the cast on a 300 size reel, the spool diameter is decreased by so mach that it makes the gear ratio very slow and it will result in a lot of lost fish. The bigger the baits you throw and the bigger the fish are, magnify this flaw.
  4. Bruh.... It don't even get cold in socal Insert sarcasm!!!! I'm on a roll today!
  5. Pretty sure nothing else gets along with a 3:16 (sarcasm)
  6. This will give you some motivation. I prefer the Dark trout single joint 9". This fish was22-23lbs and I had to keep it because the bait was down its throat and I could not get it out.
  7. Stripers smoke slammers!!!!!! You will do best in low light conditions and at night. When it is to windy to fish a walking bait, crank a slammer just under the surface and watch out!
  8. https://youtu.be/N1zPPanqcFc this is probably a better way to do it.
  9. Well to think I started this thread back in 2012 and now just finally got a boat. I'll post up some pictures eventually. All electric 18' bass boat just for Lake of the Pines up here in Norcal.
  10. Sorry for you loss Brotha! Condolences and prayers
  11. crappy Wifi is not allowing me to post. Pics to come
  12. PM offers paypal only. This is Caesar's 1st resin version. It's mostly a crank and won't stay on top unless you keep your rod tip high and reel very slow. It was made for a specific spot for me that I no longer fish. Video to come

    Abu Revo Toro S Review?

Thanks for the info guys. I ended up going with a Diawa millionaire 250 from japan. felt it fit my needs a little better and I am partial to diawa and round reels. I'll pull the trigger on an abu one of these days.
  14. $120tyd PayPal only reel is well used has some scratches and makes the typical Lexa squeaks. It's been a solid work horse for me but I'm not using it anymore.

    Abu Revo Toro S Review?

No gearing depart for me. I like what I like and that's it. For wakes at night 5:1 is the deal turn off the brain and grind. Faster speed stuff and I have to pay attention to how fast I'm going

    Abu Revo Toro S Review?

Thanks looking for the 5:1 gear speed the big shooters are 6:1 & 7:1 correct?
  17. Anybody have a review on this reel? I'm personally not an abu guy but I'm on the market for a low profile reel (50size) that I can use specifically for wake baits. Looking for any info on how they hold up. Do they stay smooth. I'm looking at this or the Lexa 300 5:1 but know I will have to upgrade the bearings on the lexa.
  18. you need the right conditions for it to really get bit. Cloudy, pre front with some chop (day or night).
  19. So I recently moved and have a new home lake. Fishing is amazing. Hit up some pre front conditions the other night for about an hour. Landed these 4 which all went from about 3.5-4.5lbs (estimated). Lost 2 bigger ones right at my feet. and had about another dozen or so short strikes that didn't stick I love fishing big wakes because you never know when they eat it, if it will be a 2lber or a 12lber. It gets my blood flowing like nothing else.
  20. if you step up to the next blank the 79H, 711H or 82H which are all rated 3-8oz it has a lot more power that loads up mid blank. Its great for all the hard baits from 3-6 oz. Not so much for the stuff up over 7 but I like to fish baits a few ounces below the top of the rating on all of my rods. They just need to come out with one with the guide and grip layout of the Swimbait model. then it would be perfect. the 1-6 rated M1 rods top out at 4oz for me but I feel even still don't have enough back bone to set the hooks deep on a long cast. the Parabolic bend gives me fits and I loose fish. But I am also used to fishing a LDC XXH custom
