New IMX material, the current ones are GL3 material. 4 models, they won't have a 953 in IMX. I was hoping they would lengthen the 904 but they didn't. I was going to replace my current models with the new ones but decided it wouldn't make a big enough difference to be worth the cost especially without a 953 (love that rod for the smaller savage gear 4 plays) and the 904 ( thought they should have made it 7'11").

The 956 is a sweet rod. Look for the new line of Loomis swimbait rods in about 2 weeks, all IMX. They will be replacing the current line of rods.

I played with it yesterday at the Loomis factory. It's sweet but small, same size at the previous E series.

I just picked up 6 of them and will be heading to the lake this week to try them out, don't expect any fish but want to see how they swim. Too cold for fish out here!

Look for something used. I just picked up 2 shimano curado 201dhsv,s for $75 each in nice condition.

I'm a big fan of Maxima Ultra green. I've been using it for years with no problems. 15-30 pound test depending on the rod it's matched with.

I also run the Curado's and have had no problems, been using them for years. I think time will tell on the Lexa's.

I've got (2) 10" and I love them.

I put a 3/0 Owner ST36 on the belly hook and a 2/0 near the tail. I also T both the hooks, if they bite it they get hooked.

I've been a big fan of Savage gear lures for years...........I just retired a 4 play with over 40 Muskies on it! I have 4 plano boxes full of 4 plays.

What lb/test Line for Hudds and Deps 250s

20# mono for Hudds. I used 25# this year for the slide swimmer but I'm gonna jump up to 30 next season. I didn't have any issues with 25 but I think I would be more comfortable using 30 with a lure that costs as much as the Deps. -

Maxima Ultra Green...........used it for years for Muskies, Bass, Steelhead etc. Stuff doesn't break.

I don't know how you guys throw the Deps on the 867? Every time I try it it feels like the rod is going to break!

I have the 867 and I thought it was too light for the Deps 250, I throw it on my Loomis 957.
