  1. I had a buddy break an okuma aswell, said there were good about a replacing it. I'd get a replacment, and then either fish it or sell it without fishing it at all and put that money twords a rod youve got faith in. I really like my 7'6" H okuma, and its held up well, but im also fishing trebels, on hudds mainly, and dont need that strong hook set. Hate to hear that tho man, this will prob make it worse... But it had to be a real hog to break the rod... in THREE. NGaHB
  2. so the rod snapped? NGaHB
  3. Almost right on! It was 12-4 Geat fish man, makes it all worth it NGaHB
  4. I'm guessing 12.5? Killer fish man, it was worth the wait! NGaHB
  5. looking forward to seeing how it goes for ya Matt, stick a big one. NGaHB EDIT: 5 big ones
  6. Fella, baits are made to catch fish, without a reel how are you going to fish a bait? PM me and I'll send you the two 3:16 soft baits I have and you can join the club. NGaHB
  7. That Hudd fish was HUNGRY! NGaHB
  8. Real slow sink, prob like a ROF 2 NGaHB
  9. If its a MH, I would go with a 300 size reel. I am using a Cardiff 301 on my hudd rod and havent had a problem even with 25# CXX. NGaHB
  10. Got ya. Great fish Garett, I thought that last one looked around 10. NGaHB
  11. Now thats a trip! great job. That last fish has a FAT tail. Are you in GA, or does "GA" mean something else?

  13. Thanks guys, I appreciate it! I'm really lovin this year of fishin, new PB 4 diff times. Grizz, I'm using a ROF 0 hudd, fishing it extremely extremely slow. NGaHB
  14. Headed out again this weekend with my main fishin buddy. Went to two different public lakes, one of which was mainly a scouting trip, the other was to get to some fishing. Scouting lake looks pretty good, looking forward to getting in there soon. Now it was time to start fishin, several hours in and he had snagged a real pretty 9# and I had missed two bites, same fish I think. Little while later I make a real long cast, let it sink for 30 seconds or more, then started pullin it back in. Small bump in the beginning, then about 12 ft off of the bank, which is a real quick ledge, the bait just stops. After a real brief fight, glad im comfortable and confident in my gear, I have this at my feet: She went 13.5#. 26" long and 21" around. Given a month or so she would have been slap full of eggs, and I have no doubt 15#. She is happily swimmin around again, after a pretty dramatic splashing farewell. Needless to say, this was a killer day. I think there's another bigger one in there, were going to do our best to find her before too long. NGaHB
