  1. anyone tying assist trebles? Is there a link on how others are doing this?
  2. You ever sell it? how long can you roll film with those batteries and sd card?
  3. I’ve used it. It’s more flexible and does not tear up as easily. Takes longer to cure but who cares. I let it set up overnight.
  4. Nice. The gold scales look fire. Great work.
  5. The molding begins. Spent over an hour getting this clay tucked around it. Got my legos from the Disney LEGO store a few years back. Great investment. using some Mold Max 30 from Smooth On. The Oomoo is way too brittle.
  6. Dan that’s gonna be awesome. I have lots of power tools but to be honest, a coping saw, knife and sandpaper is all you need. The power stuff can be rushed and take off too much too fast at times. Do you have a Dremel multi tool? That’s one tool that really helps sand away some hard to work areas. i bought a new one this year. My old one worked fine but my dog chewed the cord off. If you don’t mind taking it apart and installing a new cord, I’ll send it to you with a barrel sanding bit.
  7. Had some topwater action with the redfish today. Lost one at the boat and missed two strikes.
  8. I wanted to mold one of my most successful glide baits which is a 10” skipjack herring. Rather than mold the current bait, decided to build a new one from scratch and make it more detailed. This one will be around 10-inches as well. I took some pics of the progression for those interested in that process. after building several s glides over the years, the 10-inch size is the sweet spot for me. Have a look at the original and the latest pics. It has some work left to go. Lots of sanding and priming, etc. I will mold it whole and probably add scales at some point.
  9. Try a multijointed bait that sinks fast, an s glide in slow sink and a slow wake type bait around high percentage spots. Work your way up deeper points with the sinking bait and the others as you get shallower. Top to bottom and move around to those high percentage spots. Get out there and chop wood, you’ll get bit. make a predetermined number of casts with each bait and move. Return later and do it again. In one hour it could be like a new spot.
  10. Why do you need to use that hook? There’s got to be another hook that will let the bait float. another solution would be to pour a mold of that frog with micro balloons. lurecrafters may have that same mold.
  11. Fine fish. Nice bait. Worth the trouble ain’t it? Special way to fish. I’m always trying to explain it to others. Go big or go home..
  12. Cooked these up. Gonna try this evening in the cool rain.
  13. That’s a heck of a test for a lure. Had to be fun.
  14. Awesome. Great story. Looks like a FL bass. Long. My guess would be 26”.
  15. That’s like a green pumpkin. What a hawg. Congrats on the trophy catch.

    Ryoga

Matches up nice with the new Rogue. The rod is 1-4 oz and is actually a back bounce rod. Very nice tip for trebles and a stout backbone. Really like the rod. Especially since I scored the blanks for only 75$. Half price.

    Ryoga

Haha. I know. I’m gonna mount it to my Rogue Rod and snap a pic of the combo. My retired boss put the rod together for me. I’m picking it up at lunch today. The reel comes in a fancy Crown Royal bag. the reel seat is unlike the Luna and the SCV Millionaire in that it sits higher inside the reel. So the reel is actually low profile. There’s double the teeth in the gears, so it’s like butter. It’s about the size of a Luna 253. Similar magforce z side plate adjustment.

    Ryoga

Got a package yesterday from my favorite tackle co. I got the Ryoga 1520 cc (crazy Cranker). It’s the 5.4:1. Not a big reel, but perfect for what I usually throw. ill say this much, cranking the handle- that thing is so smooth it almost feels like nothing happens inside the reel. I’ve never felt anything like it! I’m putting it on a Rogue blank that I just scored recently. Gonna test it on some redfish soon. I’ll post some info on that as soon as I can.
  19. Thanks for the input. I tweaked it a little.
  20. Nice work. You’ll get color flashes in the water representing both birds. I bet those yello headed blackbirds are cool looking. Never seen one. Got plenty redwing here.
  21. It’s got a tarpon mouth. I must have been influenced by it some kind of way. The bass is the donkey.
