  1. Wondering what size baits can be thrown on the new 2018 Ryoga 1520 ? Anyone try it yet?
  2. Here ‘‘tis so far. The wake version. Gave it a lime paint scheme. They get that color in pretty water. Whatcha think? Next one may be a silver and pearl do up.
  3. Thanks for the comments. Very much appreciate it. Really glad y’all like it. I really need to get some video of redfish hitting my swimbaits. You would be shocked!!! Ive caught big bass on topwater swimbaits, and it’s awesome, but a redfish is is just flat out carnage. The physiology of their mouth is more adapted to chasing things below them; so when they strike something on the surface, oftentimes they have to get their entire head out of the water to make a strike. Depending on how much time he has to build up speed, this can get pretty ugly. Scares the hell out of you!! Which is awesome. HaHa.
  4. Here’s a bait for saltwater fish(redfish and specks) and bass in the marsh. This is the most prolific baitfish in the LA Coastal marshes.. this one pictured is a topwater twitch bait. It walks like a spook but the fins wiggle really nice. Had to mold the fins, tail and of course the body. Tail fin is slotted and plugs in Vertically. Dressed it up with scales and I’m done. Extremely happy with the action. I also did one with a lip for waking. Next will be a slow sink. Very pumped about this one. Will post pics when they’re painted.
  5. Nice one. Glad it worked for you. Thanks for testing it out. Let’s see how it holds up. Mike
  6. This is a 300 HS which is 7.1:1 retrieve. Y placed a Lexa 100 next to it for size reference.
  7. So I added a soft tail to my bluegill since that seems to be producing well.
  8. I’ve used Vaseline many times. Yesterday as a matter of fact. No problem. I’ve had the aerosol mold release NOT work before. Probably my fault. But there’s no learning curve with painting on Vaseline.
  9. Looking to trade my new in box Lexa 300 right hand for a Dobyns 795 Champion series in good working condition.
  10. Nice carving work. Very nice.
  11. That’s coming along great.
  12. That’s great stuff. Maybe a Johnny Rotten colorway? Turned 49 on the 13th but don’t act it. There’s people reading this and probably have never heard Neil Young live at Massey Hall. To them I would say look it up. You’re missing out. Acoustic awesome sauce!!!
  13. Ok. I’m glad it says that to you. HaHa. I’m more of a Dylan and Neil Young acoustic fan myself but I’d be hard pressed to find a color pattern to speak that. I actually have a Taylor guitar in my shop that I play a little bit while I work. I can do a rust colored bait for NY ”Live Rust” ..or a “Tangled up in Blue”-shad. HaHa. Hmmm..you may be on to something. glad you like it
  14. Thanks for the kind words y’all. I wanted a dark look without being too black. The guy who’s getting this one is a night angler.
  15. Looks like a bomb with a tail fin. Bombs- a -wake. thats so freakin corny, I shoulda used it myself.
  16. Big, awesome, fat, bug-eyed sowbelly. Congratulations. You're in rarefied air with a catch like that. Only a very small percentage of the population will ever catch a giant like that. Go buy some champagne and a lottery ticket.

    Citizen Fish

Buying new stuff can make you fish a little harder just because. But In this case, it came quickly. It brought you luck. Either way, beautiful fish. is that a weedless hook bait?
  18. Looks nice. Are the fins plastisol castings or silicone?
  19. Look great. Like the middle color best. what are they made of?
