I don't know if I can trust those spring scale but the next best thing is to get the measurement (length X girth). You don't even need a tape measurer. Just get some fishing line: line it for the length and cut, wrap around for the girth and cut. Bring the two lines home and measure. (girth X girth) x length / 800

The crack looks like it happened on impact from a cast. The edges on the lip are clean showing that the bait did not hit anything to cause the crack.
