Been carving this one on and off for awhile. The wood near the tail chipped when I was carving the scales. I’ve patched it a couple of times but haven’t found anything that works well yet. Going to try clay next. Also going to add raised fins that still show the scales below. Hopefully. We’ll see how it works. Hope to make this bait into a crank down. I’ve built some similar ones that work well. This one will just be more detailed. And resin. Also might make a couple of glides out of it.

I think I can keep it in front of my pedal drive. Just not sure how far. I fish some rivers but mostly lakes. Biggest issue I face with damaging my transducer is dragging my kayak through the woods to the lake. But I should be able to fold it out of the way. I don’t even put my pedal drive down in the river and won’t put my transducer down there either

Thank you both. I just ordered the yak attack arm. I would be interested to see where he placed the transducer. Curious why he wouldn’t have used the rail that’s already on it?

Anyone try it? I’ve got a FeelFree Lure 11.5 and can’t figure out where/how to mount the transducer. I’ve heard that it can be mounted recessed below a scupper hole on some kayaks but I don’t know how much clearance I need to the sides of it. I could use a transducer arm but I don’t know what kind or how to make sure it’s level when I drop it in the water.

I like my floating mattlure hardgill. Throw it as shallow as you can parallel to the bank and slow wake it or burn it back. Usually I fish it slow. They like to pin it against the bank. I do better throwing extremely shallow and making them go get it than I do throwing it to them.
