I am relatively new. I introduced myself, bought some baits and got swimbaiting. I have had marginal success. Why? Need more time on the water. Spent too much time grabbing baits from the black market and ebay and ended up with too many baits! Can't learn with too many to try out. Anyway, not catching lots of swimbait fish, but constantly obsessing and having buddies rip on you for what you are trying to do can bring you down. But I keep chugging. Maybe too demoralizing/intimidating to post my failures as a newbie? Maybe being in Minnesota and not in California, I wonder if most would benefit from my experience. Although saying that, i donsee a lot of fosh from other states posted. In the end, I love it. I love the excitement. I love the art of the bait. I will be encouraged by this thread and post where and when I can.

I'm a noob and have only a couple swimbait fish under my belt. I ordered my OGs and will fish the daylights out I them. I recognize with one GoPro and no creativity, I have no shot at winning this. However, can I just say this might be the coolest thing I have been a part of and gets me and my sons totally excited to get out and fish! Totally jacked up to get some new baits and see what happens. Can I request that we get to see a "top ten" of the videos? Given the chatter that has been going on, I think seeing what crazy videos you people come up with will be a win in itself!

I have been buying to fish. I either have to wait (waste time) at the computer and essentially hit the lotto with my timing, or pay the price if I want to play. These baits work + scarce availability + niche = what you see on eBay. Frankly, the black market isn't much different. Maybe some relief, but not much. God bless the free market.
