  1. This guy is selling just the BOX from his BB Nat 250 on eBay and the bid is up to $240! It says in the description no swimbait included Hopefully none of you are bidding on this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Deps-slide-swim ... 19eb60ce2d
  2. Its the exact same reel as the e with a little higher ratio. Both very strong reels. I have both and yes that does happen with the ej and like was said before if you put the handle down before you cast it wont engage. I only fish mine in salt now for calico bass. I prefer the double paddle e for fresh. IMO its easier to control cadence and speed with the paddle handle.
  3. We had this 13 whaler that was in rough shape so I decided to give her an overhaul and turn it into my swimbait boat. All of your boats inspired me in this project, especially combatwombats. I couldnt find a console I liked so I built one from scratch, then got the idea for the decks, 6 months later I have a semi-fisnished, fishable little rig. It still needs a few things like the bottom painted, electronics, stereo, and interior lights installed. But its a working boat again and im stoked on the way it turned out.
  4. I have a couple but ive only ever fished them at Barrett. steady, rip, twitch, burn. all got bit. fun little bait. I want to fill an A-rig with em and see what happens
  5. What knot do you use too attach the fluorocarbon to braid? tony pena/bob sands. 3turn uni stopper, 11 wraps down 11 back up
  6. For the majority of my baits I fish 65 power pro with 25 seaguar flouro premier topshot no longer than 6' You want the connection to be out of the guides when you cast. That will eliminate some backlashing/castoffs. Straight braid to wakes at night. Lob, dont whip casts until you feel comfortable. I havent casted a bait off yet (knock on wood) with braid. It all comes down to personal preference.
  7. I get to roll in this thing in a couple days. Hope to have that livewell busting at the seams! It's a lot of live well to fill. Haha. But we are waiting bro! hope the stars line up for us this time. Is your live well plumbed or just aerated? I'm working on my boat right now and am trying to figure out live well options
  8. in if I can get my boat ready by then
  9. I like the secret location idea. No prefishing. Keep em on their toes!
  10. if anyone got a carp or bone they dont need I"ll take it
  11. The only problem with the pvc Ive found is if you drop the rod in too hard, the inside of the pipe will cut the grips. Especially cork. Take some sandpaper or a file to the inside corner to smooth it out.
  12. not a double hudd but thought this was pretty cool and semi on topic.
  13. I know that bridge two in a day on the swimbait is pretty good for that spot. nice!
  14. @Jessebd83 +1 on the @deadhorsebaits I found em on ig before anywhere else and need to get my hands on one! very nice looking baits
  15. We need to go back. Early next time. The trout bite the TT better in the am
  16. These are very cool reels. I know someone who has one never used still in the cigar box!
  17. wakebaits at night. My first swimbait fish was on a slammer so maybe im partial to the wakes, but they always seem to produce for me. This was at a private community pond a few weeks ago, I was taking a couple guys swimbaiting for the first time and they were laughing at my wake jr, calling it "shamu" etc... I shrugged em off knowing almost exactly what was going to happen. An hr or so goes by and my friends have reverted back to spinnerbaits and buzzbaits out of frustration, still scoffing at my jr. We pass a couple of other guys fishing with very light gear and ask them how the fishing is for them. They take one look at my bait and the usual questions are asked, blah blah so big, blah blah ever catch any, I ask them if they've ever caught a bass in this lake. The one guy looks at me like I'm nuts. "theres no bass in this lake" he says "theres only trout in any of the lakes around here." oh? ok pal, see ya later. 10 minutes later this fish blows up on my Jr, after the cast, pause, twitch, twitch, 3 turns of the handle, bite. My friends are impressed and now believers in the swimbait. I just wish the other guy would have stuck around so I could've slapped him with the bass I caught in his lake with only trout
  18. Weather or not the bass was eating, territorial or inquisitive you still fooled the fish into reacting. Isnt that the definition of a swimbait? I fish for followers. If one jumps on the hooks, thats a bonus. Just sayin,,
  19. "Man, this swimbait fishin sure is easy!" Nice bait, and nice fish!
  20. LMV doesnt count. theres no fish UNDER 10 there!!
  21. Not really bass gear but I figured I would post it here first. BNIB Avet sx 5.3:1 in black. Will post pics later. $160 shipped paypal gift or add 3% Also open to trade offers.
  22. I have a new one and I really like it. I've fished everything from a g2 shellcracker to fs ss bass. The handle is shorter but I like it. And you can't really beat the price/warranty.
