^This. Even in a kayak where space is limited, I've learned that a net is crucial. Luckily I've only lost 4 big fish this year, and they all happened at the boat as I grabbed for the net. Once they're in the danger zone, heartbreak can happen quickly

Thanks Ceasar. I get the feeling they're not hanging around waiting to chow all day, just doing it when they feel like it. So much for predictability It's funny you mention getting below the smaller fish with a fast sink, that's on the game plan for tomorrow

Hey Ceasar, just curious- are you talking about different times of the year when these feeding sprees go down? I was just thinking today about setting up for feeding times like this in the late spring after the spawn. I hadn't thought about it in terms of year-round activity. Then again, it sounds like there is never much evidence to cue you in to when it happens.

Haha, that's deceptive. This is the first decent fish I've caught all month. Just lucky it came when it did. David's not allowed to tease me too much about this after his 8.4 and 9.6 Here's mine from this morning. Caught on the same RS as the others; that thing has seriously earned its keep. It has already brought in 5 fish over 7, and showing no signs of slowing down. 7.6 or 7.7-the pic with the bait says 7.6 but has glare, the clear one is 7.7
