Tying leaders I use the Alberto knot. For braid, mono and co-poly lines I use a Palomar knot. For Flourocorbon line, I use a triple san diego knot or a uni-knot.

I haven't tried that. I was scared I would break the weight. I tried heating it up in boiled water, but it still did not straighten the body. I boiled it till the paint kind started to peel off..lol.. I will try to adjust the body weight.

Got home and saw a package at the door, this beast was inside!! 9'' Bull Shad, can't wait till the water starts warming up!!

I just got some Hudd 68's in the mail and one does not swim straight. Any tricks of the trades to straighten out the tail? The body of the bait is slightly bent, and the tail is also slightly curved.

I posted this topic yesterday, but I guess it got erased. Whats the Rat that's a must in every swimbait'r tackle box?

Well, wen out for a quick fishing trip, 4 hours later no bites. I was trowing a 8" hudd and a 6.5 top hook Rising Son. Can't wait to chuck some more tomorrow...lol...

That really makes sense. I should have added the type of body of water I'll be fishing to make it a little easier. I mainly fish ponds and lakes that are not that deep. the deepest place I fish is probably 15-30 feet deep.

Whats to deep for top water lures specifically lunker punkers ? I got some 6" and 8" wood Punkers coming and want to know what do some of you guys think its to deep to throw'em. I am a new guy throwing swimbaits, but got good equipment. Any tips or advice on throwing punkers?
