  1. God lined up the stars! I still can't believe what went down.... Three 7lb class smallies and two 6lb class smallies made up my 34lb 8oz bag! (Yes, swimbaits were used) I almost had a 2nd 30 pound bag the same day! Along with the 34lb 8oz bag listed below, I had another 6lb 8oz, 6lb, 6lb and twin 5lb 4oz, making another 29lb 4oz bag and missing the 30lb mark by 12oz! Shaking hands and big smiles stuck with me all day as the madness unfolded. I'm definitely spoiled now and it's going to be hard to top that day (although the very next day I had 31lb 8oz with a 7lb kicker! That'll be another post.) I've had the goal of a 7lb+ smallie for a few years now and it's good to see all the time, money and mental fortitude pay off! I'm finally a member of the 7lb+ smallie club × 4 within a 48 hour period! All fish (especially the 7lb+) were weighed multiple times with a IGFA certified 15lb Boga Grip. Pics is order below: 7lb 4oz, 7lb 4oz, 7lb, 6lb 8oz, 6lb 8oz
  2. Fat-n-healthy for sure, congrats!
  3. Maybe, I don't know. No sir, I passed on them. I didn't have a good hook up ratio with the 9" BS so I sold them all. I'm sticking with the 6" & 7" Citizens and 6" & 7.5" BS.
  4. No, he still does the emails. I just saw on his IG that he was dropping the 9" Citizens...
  5. Big northern largemouth, congrats!
  6. It was more than "average", but you get what you pay for imo... There's a reason a Lambo costs more than a KIA and I don't mind paying a little more for Dave's quality of work. We spend all this time, money and effort chasing these trophy fish, why would you want to cut corners or "bargain shop" for a mount that represents reaching that pinnacle/goal of catching a trophy? Just my .02
  7. If anyone is looking to get a replica mount made you need to reach out Dave Campbell! He's one of if not the best in the country. I just received my fifth mount from him this week and the details are amazing! I've attached some pics of the mounts he's done for me over the years. www.davecampbellfish.com
  8. Look up tysuddarth/tymadegoods on IG, he made a few for me and they came out perfectly! I gave Jared the board wrap idea a couple years ago, but he had some issues with production early on. Ty was able to make whatever type material wrap I wanted at a reasonable price. Attached are some pics, good luck with your search.
  9. $32 TYD for all 4. All are brand new, never used and all are "XL" size (for 8' - ish length rods).
  10. The arsenal is now complete... Just got my last F5 custom rod in last week. Eight matching custom F5's, all paired up with Conquest 400MD's. (2) XH 8'6" (4) H 8'3" (2) MH 8'3"
  11. Thanks everyone! @GTier525 Yeah, it's going to be hard to sustain this momentum, but I'm going to try! @bassbass It's that I travel away to "hog heaven"... (public waters btw)
  12. Appreciate it everyone! I had other things going on last year and couldn't get out as much as I wanted. I always try to plan my trips around the full or new moon.
  13. Appreciate it sir! And no comment on the guy from Cali . I already spent too much time going back and forth with that other bait painter from Cali a while back...
  14. God lined up the stars again for me! Had another great 4 day trip and got my 7th DD at 10lb 4oz. Also had a 9lb 12oz, 8lb 8oz, 8lb 4oz and an 8lb even! The warming water along with the full moon had the big ones chewin'! Had a missed opportunity at what looked to be a teener come in hot and not commit to biting and made my heart stop! I'll be back to try for her again... Day 1 - nothing over 5lb Day 2 - 9lb 12oz Day 3 - 10lb 4oz, 8lb 4oz, 8lb Day 4 - 8lb 8oz
  15. Good luck! Ivie has been a bucket list trip for me ever since Josh Jones blew it up, but it's a 16hr haul one way for me.
  16. Being that you posted this on here, I'm guessing you're not going to be trying to watch a 1/16oz ned rig on the bottom with ffs... Humminbird Live isn't the "best" ffs out there right now, but it definitely does what I need it to do and I can see my big baits just fine with it. I can attribute my last three DD's along with many 9lbers and 8lbers to the Mega Live. Humminbird is offering $500 right now also which would save some coin. If you're definitely set on the Garmin, the only advice I can give is get the biggest lithium battery (at least 125ah and make sure it has a BMS system/app) and biggest screen you can afford. Good luck with your setup!
