Fall wake bite is really picking up, and for me it usually lasts until the water hits around 48-50. I just have to slow my retrieve as the water gets colder. Don't be afraid to get out and throw them at night. I catch a lot of fish paralleling structure, grass, dam walls, etc. A little chop on the surface, and a slow steady retrieve should do the trick. Also, if you see fish during the day, go back at night and try again or even just toss your bait out where the dish came from and let it float (dead sticking). I stuck a 7-4 not too long ago dead sticking a wake next to a grass line.
