Thanks for your input. I will plan on getting there 1 hour before dark and fish till I've had enough.
The lake I plan on fishing is a small lake with some shoreline weeds and lily pads and a max depth of about 45 feet with water temps in the low 90s that gets a lot of fishing pressure but the boat traffic isn't bad due to the 10 HP motor restriction.
Hey Guys,
I am planning my first night trip in ten years for this weekend and was wondering what part of the night you have had the most success such as the first few hours after dark or the last few hours before daybreak or in the middle of the night?
I did a search and did not find anything .
Thanks for your input .

Don, I also suffer with sciatica.Mine starts in my lower back and runs down the back of my left leg. I have been considering the shots but for now I have been seeing a chiropractor which has helped but it is only a temporary fix. I also stopped carrying a wallet in my back pocket and I started using a pillow between my knees when I sleep.
Sciatica has started to affect my fishing in the last two or three years because I cant stand all day like I used to do so I bought a comfortable seat that I switch out with my butt seat when it starts hurting worse than normal.
Merry Christmas To All
I have a 2 year old 806 that the insert popped out of one of the guides. Dobyns said they will send me a guide and I have to find someone and pay them to wrap it . Not exactly what I expected with the lifetime warranty. My next swimbait rod will be a LDC.
I have several BPS crankin sticks that still have the inserts in place after several years of fishing and they cost less than half as much as a Dobyns.
I have used the BPS fluorocarbon and I think it is pretty decent line for the money. I have not noticed any problems with abrasion resistance but it does seem to have more than average line memory when compared to other fluorocarbon lines.
I own a 2008 Tundra and I love it however if gas mileage is a big concern you might want to look at the Chevy because the gas mileage is not very good on my Tundra but I did get the 5.7 liter 4x4 double cab and the gas mileage was on the Sticker so I cant complain. I will say there is no lack of power from that 5.7 liter and I cant even tell the boat is behind me.
Mike,
I'm sorry to hear about losing your friend. I will say a prayer for you and you friends family.
Casey,
That was a awesome act of kindness.
God Bless
