  1. Hiroshima Billrilla/Gillrilla/Countdown or Toxic Wade Hoggs have become my favorites.
  2. I fish many small ponds, all the popular swimbaits can work there and some will work better than others but that will be dependent on the forage base in the pond. Obviously matching the hatch will be your best bet to start. When fishing these small ponds, especially from shore, I prefer top water baits as unseen underwater snags will leave you frustrated and cost you some dough as you will lose your bait. If you decide to fish subsurface, weedless is a smart move and one that will save you some heartache. Top water.....pick your favorite wake baits 3:16, ms slammer, Hiroshima Billrilla, different rats etc. Subsurface.....hudd 68 weedless, mission fish, rising son...etc. Other baits that have worked subsurface but can snag include 8" hudd rof 5, mattlures ultimate gills, any ss glide bait. Finally, some baits that give you a little of both, baits that can wake and be cranked under....toxic baits wake n crank and Wade Hoggs, Pizz riot crank, Def-con, Catch em Caro Henrietta J, Nates baits wake/crank... Your lineup will work, just need to put in the time and you'll get them.
  3. WSB Chipmunk wake 125, added a new tail.
  4. I ran out of votes for the day, so I had to find some deceased voters to get on here and give that collection a thumbs up! What rod are you using to throw the 13" hiro?
  5. Agree 100% with has already been posted. It has been a consistent performing bait since I recieved it, solid, well built, and with a nice fish attracting wake and thump. I've had success fishing it on bluebird days as well as evenings and night. It has worked in clear and in cloudy water. I have bounced it off rocks and wood, smacked it off an iron railing mid-cast, and it has come away with just a few nicks but still swims great. It has worked best for me on a steady retrieve, but I've caught fish with varied retrieves also. On the crank, I liked it over the tops of weeds. Overall a really versatile bait when you consider the ability to crank it down a bit as well as wake it.
  6. Wow, well it obviously got injured in shipping, I'll take that beat up bait off your hands.... ; ). ( Awesome!)
  7. Some punkers arrived today, pic with some I already had.
  8. I'm sure he would, he's been a great guy to do business with. I need to let the bank account recover a little, between him and the recent wake jr. release.....
  9. I was so bummed I missed the pink and purple one too
  10. and here I thought Santa was in the North Pole, it's now clear he has a place in Florida too! ; ). Great deed there JC!
  11. Welcome! The fish kill two years ago decimated a small pond I fished regularly as MA Frog Man said. Back in 2013, I could regularly pull 4-6 lb'ers from there. Since then it's a struggle to find a 3. Hopefully it doesn't happen again this year. I'm also in S. NH and lately have been exploring new spots, usually have an open seat also.
  12. Today's mail....every time I say it's the final countdown, Brock goes and paints another color I want...baby carp / bluegill and perch on the right.
  13. Just picked this up from fresh paint, Domonique at Venutian Lures did an awesome job!
  14. I have some rof 0's that float and won't sink even with this rig, I also have some that sink very slowly without the rig, so adding any weight will only increase the sink rate. I broke one off yesterday fishing a very shallow cove from shore that had some subsurface rocks that snagged it and went back to recover it today with the kayak and was lucky enough to find it floating. I'm glad to see him putting these together and was able to order one so I can compare notes with how well I did from watching STE.
  15. Front and center, a new countdown joining the Hiroshima Customs collection.
  16. Outdoor pro shop, American legacy fishing, and many more just need to spend time searching. I don't recall exactly where I sourced a few of mine but they were "demo" rods for a significant savings with the same warranty. Funny thing was they shipped directly from Shimano and were new as far as I could tell. The 965 sabbr is a 1-4 oz rod, the bounce back rating is not for casting. The 966c bbr is a 1-5 oz rod. The 964 is a 1-3 oz rod. The 966c looks like it may be harder to locate as they are moving to the imx series now rather than gl2, but you may have to make some calls for that one. Good luck in your search.
  17. That would be an awesome fish if you landed it off the beach.....but out of a small pond!?! Just unreal! That's absolutely awesome!
