  1. haha yea man thing busted on me, but I fought through it (sketchily), its in repair right now.
  2. Finally gaining some confidence in the swimbaits here in North Florida, other than a few month stint with the floating TT last winter, and some punker fish, I haven't had enough confidence to leave fairy wands behind until now, and it's starting to pay off. Me and Bitethebullet have been putting in work these past few weeks with the big baits, landing a few smaller fish and losing some big bites, including one that snapped my rising son off on the hookset, but we persevered and I landed this decent fish that same evening, not a giant by any means, but a solid fish. Feeling this kind of confidence in the big baits is nice, and I hope our recent success continues. Ps. If anyone has white weedless RSs they don't want, I will buy them from you. I didn't buy enough in the preorder.
  3. 7" Baby Bass slammer for the Mattlures?

Heck yea! Congrats, awesome fish! Im right there with you, i chucked swimbaits for a year with little sucess, had little confidence, but stuck with it, and i am now starting to be rewarded with some nice fish, and learning so much with each bite.
  5. Thanks guys! This was the greatest bite I've ever got, and maybe my biggest bass yet (caught others around 8 but without a digital scale). The way this fish blew up on the punker reminded me of how great whites eat the seals on discovery channel
  6. Have been tossing wooden punkers for a year now with little success. My main fishing buddy has a 6" G2 and has caught a few nice fish on it when I can convince him to throw it. Finally got one myself, went out today at sunset, first cast caught a nice one: Went 7lbs 14oz. Right before the fish hit I was watching the punker thinking "damn, I need my gopro on..BAM" lol. Super stoked on this fish tho, hopefully a good omen for 2015!
  7. thanks for the warning swimbo, but im afraid its too late, consider me ADDICTED
  8. In a clear water quarry in North Florida... Got into swimbaits and purchased some big swimbaits about a year ago, fished them alot for a while with little to no sucess, so i kind of gave up. About 2 weeks ago i tied on my 8" floating cut tail triple trout late one afternoon and got a blow up on it. Thought maybe it was a fluke, but i went out the next night and went 3/5 on it in about 2 hours after dark, all dinks tho. But i now knew the TT night bite was real. So i kept going out and staying out for about an hour after dark, catching 1 or 2 dinks per night. I knew it was only a matter of time before i found a bigger fish. Last night it happened, caught about a 5 pounder on one of my last casts near the ramp. The sound of the explosion in the darkness is like nothing ive ever experienced. Im hooked on this TT night bite now..
  9. Words to live by right there this IS how I live
  10. Just got my 400TE back from Jesse. Bought the reel used off eBay. Got scammed. Reel was in terrible condition. The handle was loose because the nuts and bolts had been stripped, the thumb bar was sticky, it hardly cast, and just overall in terrible shape. I decided to send it to Jesse after a few emails, I never thought this reel would feel like it does now. Basically feels brand new. All I can say is that he must REALLY know what he is doing and his customer service was top notch, communicated through the whole process and was even giving me other advice on fishing related things. Great guy and great work.
