  1. Right now I my web lady is working on puting a counter on my website so the number goes down as each bait sells and goes to out of stock when they are gone. The last release was very stressfull as I was not expecting the huge amount of orders in that short amount of time. As soon as she gets it ready and tested I will release them. You can also contact my email if you have paypal ready to go.
  2. release will be very soon, here are the production colors
  3. The Meat heads are easily tuned. They tune just like a crank bait. Google how to tune a crank bait and you will get a bunch of videos. They are easy to tune if they need it. I swim them in a small pool and very few needed to be tuned. However if you run them at higher speeds they may need a little bit of fine tuning. Just bend(do not twist or turn) the line tie SLIGHTLY to the left or right to tune. On the deep divers I made 2 versions . A deep diver and extra deep diver. The x just sits a little lower in the water. They dive around 8-12 feet depending on line, water temp and cast length. The x deep may get down to 15. They rise slowly but not super slow. I can cast them a very long way. They are a pretty big bait and dont twist to much in the air. As for durability I think they are durable. You may get tiny chip in the joint slots and over time some hook rash but the resin is extremely strong and the baits can withstand most bad casts into rocks and docs etc. And if you have one that has gotten out of tune and you cant tune it, contact me and I will right it
  4. Its a made in china, no brand, knock off. A chinese company sent me one about 6 years ago trying to get me to buy them and have them make the packaging with my brand on them. The bait was very heavy and sank fast. The rigging inside was wire and lead, no floating material. I do not recomend the bait
  5. Wow you guys are awesome and thorough to! thank you to Keepin it reel and to Wayne for taking the time to do such in depth reviews. I greatly appreciate it!
  6. As far as trout baits go, at slow speeds I think the Hudd type baits are the most natural swimming. Once you go to a faster retrieve I think the jointed soft baits like the Savage gear look a little more natural. For hard trout baits I think the Rago 8in tool is possibly the most natural swimming one. I do honestly believe my Hardgill to be very natural at different speeds, from slow and subtle to hard thumping and aggressive at faster speeds. However natural swimming doesn't always equal bites. I can think of plenty of hard baits that look natural swimming but are poor producers. Maybe its their sound or their vibration or some other negative vibe but there are many that never lived up to the hype as far as fish catchers. Then you have the oposite. Baits that swim nothing like a real fish but get bit. Glide baits especialy the Deps 250 have become of of the best producing baits ever and swims nothing like any fish I have seen. The Stocker trout is another good example. Before the 8in Hudd, the Stocker was THE bait. To me it looks like an injured trout. Doesn't swim natural to me at all but it definitely got bit.
  7. Congrats on a great fish. I am pretty sure I seen you out there once or twice
  8. I am not mad at all but I am curious to see how it swims
  9. Hi Mark send the bait to me and I will exchange it ASAP! and throw in some extra tails for your inconvenience.
  10. Love the Okuma rods and I almost only use Fluoro. 25 is a good choice for bigger baits
  11. They wont be worth anything as collectors items. Made in China and never caught on because they were not good. They were put out probably 8 years ago so there should have been a lot of reports on them but they flopped. I recommend paying more for a good bait like the Hudd 68. Better to spend 2-3 times as much on a bait that will actually produce then go cheap and get something that wont.
  12. I will never use braid. Straight fluoro 20-25lb test. I have never casted a bait off. Leaders are a weak point
  13. What about the Rago weedless or the little kreeper? They have both been out for a while. I like how the Rago hides the hook. It looks much more natural than a hook or weight hanging below the bait. I havent fished either one though.
  14. Ok here is the REAL question. As bait makers how do we combat flipping? I have my ways and I think they are pretty good and have cut the flipping down but I have not been able to eliminate it.
  15. the Rago Alpha trout would also be a great choice
  16. No such thing as beginner swimbaits. there are great baits, good baits and junk. usually when you go the cheap rout you are getting the junk. I think you should a Hudd 68 or 8in Hudd
  17. I invented Mend-it. I did not have time to properly market it so I brought on a partner, Tom Leogrande. He ran with it and did a great job building it up. Then we sold it to Will Hesh. He is still the current owner. After it had been on the market for a while and became very popular some other companies jumped on and released their versions.. However it is not the same. I know this because I developed my own recipe by controlling how fast it cured when applied. It looks and smells like pvc glue but it is not the same thing. Believe me I tried using that as a base and it would not work. You can glue soft plastics together with pvc glue but they will pull apart at the repair with very little pressure. Mend-it chemicaly welds the plastisol as if there never was a tare. I highly recommend using Mend-it for soft plastic repairs. For glueing soft plastic to other things like hooks or eyes or foam bodies I recommend a super glue. I like Locktight
  18. It wasn't a popularity contest or what bait is new or hot right now. It was a few affiliated guys voting thousands of times to push their or their friends baits.
  19. I will have some deep divers available soon in several colors
  20. Magic man I sent you a PM. I can help you out
  21. That looks really good! Best shine glide paint I have seen
  22. Wayne has some of my early prototype deep divers and the current model of deep diver. Same bills, slightly different angle and weighting.
  23. Lots of info here you can use the search function or ask specific questions
  24. Add a split shot right on top of the treble hook. That and boil the bait to make sure its straight and soft. Those two thing should fix pretty much any line through bait
