Hit the salt. I was there in 08. Go to Foster theirs a private beach almost no one goes there except when their doing boat ops. Theirs some good fishing down past Hansen too but it's all salty water there.

Sounds like you got bad bearings send it back. That's why I changed mine to Boca bearings and put a carbon fiber drag and put better gears in mine.

The biggest I got was 4.7 on it. It has a tight swimming action to it. Its a ROF 3, the rattle in it isn't vary loud so it doesn't scare the fish. I mainly using it in stained water the larger profile helps alot and rattles are always good. But the fins on it did rip off in 4 days of throwing it, I have been looking for replacements for them but have not found any.
