  1. **open to any "hard-bait" trades..... worst that could happen is me saying no~
  2. ~ im trying to trade my trout punker.... it has some damage from being cast against a rock , but was immeadiatly repaired with proper clear epoxy . fishes fine and has the origional box from when i bought it new. ** i would really like to get a deps ss 175 ... but might consider somthing else. Im the origional buyer of this bait , and its been well taken care of ( not considering accidently hittng the damn rocks!) .. it is NOT a junior its a full size. im having problems loading images so if you would like some pictures text me @ (530)315-4386. located in nor-cal
  3. badass bait ! wish i had cash ... id be all over this !
  4. ive been throwing all colors, models and sizes....... but! it still seems (for me) a rate of fall 12 6" juvenile trout has been getting hammered, also the 6" weedless hitch. This is just my senario though-- and ive been trying 8" in all types of color and rof with not very much luck, but it truely depends on where youre fishing them also- just have to buy what you think might work for your area and get it wet!
  5. i was headed the other way, i live 358 miles north of bakersfield
  6. lol.... i would advise using stainless steel eye-screws long ones, theyre really not too expensive- and worth the wait~
  7. air quality sucks down there...... ended up going to buena vista (evans) and hangin' out for a day......... no i didnt trout fish , but if a local that lives by there reads this post...pm me i have something very cool to tell them!
  8. hey guys im going to bakersfeild for a few days and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on where a angler like myself could hangout for a day or so~ thanks any leads would be appritiated~. have to visit inlaws and take any chance i can to leave and fish

  10. ^^^^ bingo! a tung. 3/32oz nail weight in between the fins on a rof5 works awsome- have been fishing mine this way and doesnt make it swim weird or anything like that, and the fall looks very real
  11. bring it by so i can rub some fish juice into it...lol~ looked good in person at btd
  12. ~ i was on foot this time, i hadnt been there in a while-- i was talkin with someone else on su about it and i think the first time i went there was over 20 years ago! the lake is no secret. ( don) your right like your signature says , the baits used and backgroud pics can ruin places.... have to watch how discriptive we talk.
  13. BTW wasnt trying to put anyone on the spot with this post, just wanted to BS about what we were using that day..
  14. anytime buttercup, ive always liked that little lake...... in the summer the water is super clear and the water grass gets a red color~ witha kayak it would be crackin'!
  15. yayer thats what im talkin about...... thats one sick ass bait ! i want one badly
  16. that little deps looks cool, could get some play with that ! lol
  17. So do I drink the LDC Kool-Aid? Damn right I do and I stir it with my OG XXH Custom that I have named Horse C*ck I would never say a Dobyns is an inferior rod because I do like them, I just like my LDC's better and my main reason: options, options, options. Why use what someone else prefers(like Mike Long), when you can have a rod made that has everything on it that YOU prefer. that last paragraph got me good!, well its good to know ldc has good warranty options, ....sucks because i dont know anyone with a ldc rod near me so i couldnt see one in person and ive never fished a spiral/acid wrapped rod. I wanted to buy a production mh and see but would have really liked to handle one in person before just ordering one without a clue. Will totally agree with the mike long signature rod also.... it felt out of proportion, for a tall person..... say 6'5" mike long it might feel normal... but im 5'11" and it felt like a ocean jigging stick to me-- the 806hsb is killer so far! thanks for the LDC input though- i might still buy one sometime
  18. if your a young man i can understand this question and tell you there is a lot to be learned and a good starting point is having the proper gear and this forum, start reading some posts ALL the way through.... get off the couch when you can and try to put some techniques to work, and just see what they do for you.... theres alot of life ahead of you dont give up now. and if your an adult....... just duh!
  19. dont overlook irods they are very good strong rods for $150. , good afforable rods. if you want to spend $100 bucks more than that try a dobyns....remember though beauty is in the eye of the beholder when it comes to rods!
  20. Catch a lot of 3ft stripers on that 14lb suffix eh? no, mostly between 23-29", but caught a 37.5" 17# male striper on 10# louisiana red mono from the bank on the feather river. ... eh. anything over 30" was usually caught with heavier gear i use just for stripers and salmon.
