    Someone just posted a slow sink lavender sport shad. 

     

    I have a brand new in the box floating sport shad lavender back - might consider parting with.  If interested, shoot me an email back with an offer.  The bait was $175.   This bait was bought in a batch about a year ago - has never been wet!

    Tried both UPS and USPS and BOTH tend to break more rods than they safely delivery nowadays. problem is that they put these long tubes on a converyone and they're round so the roll to the sides and get jammed up and snap. After 2 of the last 3 rods I sold online snapped in half (and were delivered that anyway) - I swore off selling any rods online or shipping them unless you can send enough in a squared off box that sits flat.

    For Sale: 4 Huddleston 68s, a 6" Misc Rainbow and a new in package Hudd Gill plus a custom storage box that holds up to 12 6" swimbaits hanging to keep the tails straight. All baits are new and un-used except black shad 68s. I had good intentions but just never threw them. Not 100% on the ROF but I think 1 rainbow is ROF12 and the rest are all ROF 5.     Asked myself the same question - what I discovered is that the sport version has pectoral fins that stick out and these"rudders" allow the bait to burned with a faster retrieve without it breaking the surface like a floater or slow sink would. It keeps the bait fairly level in the water column. I managed to get lucky and grab one in tonight;'s release so I will see what happens. It's a floater but I'm not sure if all sports are floaters or not. I have two FS shads, one floater and one Slow sink so I can compare all three... hope that helps...a title..

    I just bought 1 lavender and checked out with paypal...was really slow but it eventually went through...woo hoo! first time I was actually successful at getting one. Although I wanted a regular slow sink and they had the slow sink on there all day, about 15 minutes before, the website changed to only be the sport version. I heard the regs were $125 but the sports $150. Mickey said that 1/2 of the batch would be sold in store and the other half online but I'd suspect that many of the regular shads sold in the store and there possibly was too limited availability to put them online. I had thought about buying two to put one up for sale but then again, was happy just to happy the chance to get 1. I currently own 14 various 3:16 hard baits, all of which I've had to get on our black markets site or on eBay b ut this one at $150 is more than I've paid for any of them!

    Thanks everyone for the replies! Great info and I'll now feel better not catching knowing that I'm at least fishing it the right way!
