    Come on. That ish can't be true What I was thinking. I know there is a shoot first, ask questions later policy dealing with poachers in some parts of Africa but here??? I was pretty young when it occurred. they were illegal citizens poaching in a small rural town in 99 or 00! Unfortunately i dont know the entire situation and what exactly caused the warden to fire back, but 2 men died and 2 were arrested and deported from what my pops said!

    Yes! complete opposite situation from my post! Ive learned my lesson at that lake and had to bust out the high extra tuffs.

    Fishing last summer i remember making an extra long cast standing in a steep bank and i swore the ground came up and hit me! i became horizontal with the ground mid cast and having my feet swept out from underneath me from standing some eucalyptus or bush seeds that were like ball bearings! Make sure you have good footing when casting heavy baits!

    so true! its not like my old tiny town in idaho where ive came across F&G who shot 4 men on the spot while quartering 6 elk right before the season started. i always C&R. whats the point to keep something that taste like the back flush from lake pumps!

    Its been years since one of the top bass fishing lakes in san diego has opened and I cant wait any longer! If any SU members know anything on a reopening date id love to know.

    theyve been around for a while! Its pretty rare to find new ones. luckily my local shop pulled some strings and got a small batch in! i hear Blackdog will not make anymore because it too similar to the triple trout!

    If a bass eats a tagged trout, Can the fish be able to pass the tag from the digest trout? or will it be harmful to them?

    look into getting an ocean kayak or a hobie! ive got a O.K. prowler 13 outfitted for the lakes and kelp beds off the coast! its light enough to haul into tight spots and durable enough to survive sliding across the freeway when your roof rack bolts sheer off. im only 5'5 and im able to pick it up on load it on top of an suv!

    i caught/snagged a 30in remote control submarine (red october) a while ago on an MC. who knows how long it was in the lake. it was full of leaches and mud!

    thanks for the info guys! i dont mind the cold weather or ice! it wont be my first rodeo. i just know i better stock up on hudds and the soft baits for those pesky pickrel. i was curious if there are any land locked striper or musky in winni, winnisquam, or any lake around concord! a nice musky is something id like to cross of my list before i die!

    Thanks for the info! It seems like anglers in new england arnt trowing too many big baits! ive been out there a handful of times fishing striper off the jetties and got a few crazy looks while chucking triple trouts on a bass rod!

    Im making a trip out to new hampshire and vermont for a week or two of fishing in May! I was curious when the bass spawning season occurs? Being from california im bringing and arsenal of big baits and gear! i wanted find some good small and largemouth water around the concord area!
