  1. Pouring tails this week bud. I responded to your message earlier check it if ya haven't.
  2. If you'd like to send it to me I'll cover the shipping and get it tuned up for ya. Email me at hiroshimacustoms@gmail.com
  3. Thanks Mason appreciate you explaining your situation. Hardware changes on some baits can definitely impact the tuning. For future reference I've put the stock hardware details on my site.
  4. Glad to hear that Ryan. Anytime you have any questions please reach out it's no hassle all part of doing business.
  5. Sorry to hear about your experiences Ryan and Mason. Please message me here and tell me specifics, even if you no longer have the bait/s. I often try to keep improving on my baits every release so there are changes that do take place. I try to encourage guys to buy direct so I can have a rapport with you so I can explain these changes or in some cases what the intended action is of a given bait. If anyone chooses to buy used you can message me here or on social media I normally get back to you the same day. I've always tried running an honest business hopefully I can earn your guys' trust again.
  6. I can't find our exchanges bud can you email me your address? Hiroshimacustoms@gmail.com thanks Brock
  7. Will get it out by the weekend Beau. Thanks for the reminder Don.
  8. Working on Gillrilla's now Patrick will be pouring tails next week. Email me your address at hiroshimacustoms@gmail.com
  9. Great answer Jason... The latest soft tails I made to be a bit zippier and similar to the newer 10"ers I've been working on. Wider hinge gap and the rubber tail allow the bait to come around faster and need less line pickup. These have a wider hinge gap than the first soft tails. The hard tail is hard to not make with the amount of history and fish that have been caught on it. Over the last 6 years a few things have changed. I shaved the shoulders to make it more compact and bite size in the front section, but did make it overall a bit thicker to make it glide further. Most other changes were cosmetic such as gill plate detail, scaling, and pelvic fins.
  10. Thanks JC.. it was fun painting up a new pattern for once ha..
  11. All baits shipped out yesterday guys. Will have another batch later in the week ready.
  12. Double your split rings. This helps with two things. It moves the hook points away from the bait giving you more drop and it also allows fish to stay pegged better. I've recommended this to some of the best guys I've worked with and it's undoubtedly helped them land some of their biggest fish to date.
  13. Imo one of the best deadstick baits are super slow sinking or neutrally buoyant glide baits. Try to get in the mindset of fishing a oversized rip bait in the dead of winter or big fluke in the dead of summer. Both are really good big fish techniques. Just need to figure out the location and length of pause. Main lake points in the winter and big deep tree's/weeds in summer. That being said the fish in my avatar was caught with a rof 5 8" hudd in stained water out of 15-20' after about a 10 minute deadstick. I caught another the following week on the same angle. Biggest point in the lake on the wind blown side in prespawn. Fluorocarbon or braid with long fluoro leader (20'-25') allows you to stay in contact fairly well, but you still have to knead your line.
  14. Try and use glide baits in the same application as you would a jerkbait in the dead of winter. Same application but you have more draw with the size. Longer pauses between soft twitches, slow roll, and don't rule out deadsticking super slow sinks and near suspending sink rates. If they're getting hooked outside the mouth slow down.
