I started fishing big baits for suzuki seabass in Japan. Worked very well, normally using smaller lures but in winter when the fish are pre-spawn and large, seems to be the ticket. Lot of mullet around so only makes sense.
These fish were caught on 8" Hud ROF5 and a Gan Craft Jointed Claw 178.
Now I am stationed in Korea. This is a Korean River tarpon, gangjunchi in Korean, properly known as Predatory carp. Hit a SR7 at sunset in 2 feet of water, was cool to see.
Lately been searching for a big bait largemouth but hasn't materialized. Couple hundred hours for nadda. I like to fish for everything that swims, and not just on big baits, so may do a change of pace with intermittent bass trips here soon.
