  1. Right on! thanks guys. Does anyone know if the automotive clear has a reaction with soft plastic like a standard rattle can clear does?
  2. Thanks Azfisher . Ya ive used the rattle can stuff many times but, yes it is a major bummer when a soft plastic bait eats the finish off it. One of my favorite paint jobs Ever was destroyed by this. I was wondering if theres any kind of matte or satin type of epoxy or more durable coating.
  3. what do you guys use for a clear coat if you want to maintain a flat color appearance?
  4. are those wood or resin? they look great!
  5. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. I've been painting a lot of baits lately and they are turning out great except for the clear coat. I am using off the shelf clear spray paints(krylon, rustoleum). They dry great and aren't affected by water but they have a reaction to other plastics(soft, like worms or triple trout tails) that makes the clear turn back into a sticky liquid that will not dry again. I have ruined a few really nice paint jobs... Please help
  6. If you don't mind sharing, I'm curious what paint you used. I have been wanting to paint one but wasn't sure about what to use because of the soft body. Also, what are you doing to seal the paint?
  7. Flag down someone in a boat to help. I know I would help someone if they told me they had expensive bait hung up. But the other guys are right also,a tube or kayak would help your fishing in many ways and those lure retrievers work awesome. I use one all the time and I rarely lose baits...also from shore I would maybe beef up line so you dont have to be so careful when you get hung up. By the way Merry X-mas
  8. dude those look awesome. hope you get some toads on them!!!
  9. lopez (60%)is still ok but the rest are seriously hurting. Margarita(40%) will probably close for boating soon if we dont get some rain. San antonio (5%)has been closed for a while and i hear that fish are starting to die off. Nacimiento(24%) is also really low but still fishable. Our local tourney schedules are almost all at lopez. I am so sad about san antonio, it was starting to produce bigger limits of both largemouth and smallies and seemed like it was becoming a healthier lake. I sure hope it can make it thru this. ** sorry to repeat info but apparently (nadinesmom) was writing at the same time as me... I decided to post anyway
