  4. UFO floater in bass, slightly used, no fish $180 Finnbait 8” Brand new, never used, $120 Daiwa z2020 with 110 varial and OD knobs $400, not willing to split Will trade everything for higher end golf gear, face to face only.
  5. From 40 miles offshore to the local lakes, this sled gets it done. 1988 Team Baja 18ft center console
  6. I’ve landed a 34lb yellow and a 50lb white sea bass and today I just got a 40lb black sea bass on a lexa 300. Not saying that it’s ideal but a 300 can handle it. Would I go with a lexa again? Hell no. After that yellow, it’s never been the same, even after sending it to daiwa. I’ve seen plenty of people use 400s and handle everything local fine. If you are going to be using it for bait, the SX is a great reel. I have a first gen and love it. I don’t really throw bait much anymore, but a full round reel is much easier to maintain contact with your bait, which is needed on a charter or you’ll be “that guy”. Surface iron is my go to, 95 percent of the time. That’s a whole nother rabbit hole.
  7. Honestly I hate my tatula 200, worst reel I’ve ever owned. Line capacity is way more than the 200, not sure exactly how much but definitely more. I’ve fished rockfish 250+ ft deep with my beast. I run half spool of 65lb braid to 20lb red label. I would give it a try, I strongly agree you will not disagree with it. The drag is plenty strong to handle 40+lb angry saltwater fish so it won’t ever have a problem for a largie
  8. I have 2 revo beasts, 300e curado, old gray Leda 300, and a z2020. My beasts are in my hands 90 percent of the time. I fish salt A LOT with all of them except the z. If only had one reel to choose for everything, I’d go with the beast. My Lexa has handled big 30+ lb yellowtail but unfortunately was toast after, even daiwa said it was. The curado is definitely larger but I’ve never had any issues with that. Beast is my vote
