Im using a LDC MH production for my small to medium size rats. For my large rats i use my Gloomis 955.

I have a couple buddy's who use a hudd on a bed to draw out the female because the bait is to big for the male to defend the bed against. But they don't like hooking the fish with a hudd, they use it as a tool to locate the female and then throw a more high percentage bait in there.

Been on a good prespawn bite, the fish were biting the Jerry Rago linethru soft bluegill. I was slow rolling it around points going into coves and key docks, sometimes skipping it under the docks. Not much size but still a lot of fun. These were 2 of the better fish. All fish were caught on the LDC production MH with Lexa 300 30#big game. First gotem post, hopefully more to come.

First trip out to the Sac Port, got the only two bites in the first hour. Fishing pearl soft body swimbaits with lead jig heads in 3-6 ft of water. Good start for me.

I have a Lowrance elite 7 for my kayak and i use ram mounts and a water proof box for my battery and I bring it onto friends boats with me as a trolling motor mounted transducer. Theres a bunch of info online if you like up kayak battery boxes/fishfinder.
