  1. I love big musky baits! The papa chubby, the Livingston walking boss 8 inch are awesome baits. Caught some big fish on em night and day
  2. Anyone got a hellbird hellfish or dirty bird for sale?
  3. Real prey hands down. I love real prey, they swim great, they are super durable, different patterns, actions, and he’s a local guy, (MA)
  4. Wish I could have made it up! Haven’t been the last few years. I NEED TO GO NEXT YEAR.
  5. YEP! The only one I had got destroyed by a pickerel. It killed the bait literally . Never owned another
  6. Glad I didn’t jump on that train
  7. I feel like there’s too many wake baits. I swear there’s new bait makers popping up weekly. Flooding the market.
  8. That’s incredible! I live in MA. Only caught 7 fish over 7 lbs in my life. Best bag I like 20 or so pounds
  9. Damn where the hell do you live!
  10. I gotta use it more! Haven’t really fished em
  11. I think I got their myagi baits. I’ve been fishing their jigs. Love supporting local companies
  12. I got a pack of the 8 inch keitech
  13. I love fishing soft baits like a hudd or a real prey. Real prey took over for the hudd. I never fish soft swimbaits with a beast hook. I gotta work on that!
  14. Why does it take so long! There’s another thread here about that it’s a few years running
  15. WHAT A 30 lbs bag in a night! ID LOVE TO DO THAT!! It’s funny I don’t catch many fish when I catch a giant. I’ll get a 7 and that’s it. When I got my 8 that’s the 2nd fish I caught that day. But I couldn’t really breathe after I got my Pb cuz I was chasing it for so long! I got a 7-5 and 5 one day only 2 fish I caught no other fish. It’s either dinks and a good one or just a biggon.
  16. Dammmm some big fish! You’re catching fish that size, you’ll 100% get an 8. I didn’t get anything giants last year on swimbaits but got a 7-10 on a jerkbait in March.
  17. I need to learn swimbait smallies. I don’t target them much. If I do it’s with spinning rods and regular tackle
  18. It’s doable. I’m in MA. I want another New England 8.
  19. Love fishing softies. They get bit all year
  20. Going off the things learned thread. What are some goals you got this year. New techniques, new waters? Sizes I’m going to start fishing after May. I usually fish bass from now until May. Then saltwater starts. But the past few years my saltwater has been HORRIBLE! So I’m taking a break, going to bass fish all summer fishing new waters. I try every year to learn a water or 2, but continue fishing my usual spots. Maybe I’ll find another honey hole. work on my summer fishing. Been a few years since I’ve put some time in the warmer months. Work on my crawler game. I never really fished crawlers until last year. Definitely work on that. shooting for a huge bag and another 8. My biggest yearly bag is 35lbs I want to break that. 5 over 7 this year is my goal.
  21. I’ve learned some new waters last year. Never to early for a wake bait bite. Early March last year got some good fish during the day and night fishing wakes. Not sure what the water temps were. But one great night I had last year it was like 36 degrees out. Damn near froze to death. From that night. I also learned WEAR WATERPROOF PANTS WHEN KAYAK FISHING IN THE COOLER MONTHS. I was soaked to the bone from the fish, the net and kayak paddle.
  22. I felt the same. I got some higher end glides. Blew the glide bait game wide open. It’s awesome. Now it’s one of my go to techniques.
  23. Slow sink soft baits, and slow sink glide baits. Better yet a rig a floating glide to suspend or a floating soft baits like a hudd. I fish shallow ponds with swimbaits in winter. I don’t fish deep with swimbaits
  24. I have a black DS glide haven’t used it much. Anyone have success with them? Throw them at night? I don’t see why it wouldn’t work at night!
