  1. the deps 175 and the gancraft 178 are both awesome glides. I have caught many fish on both. I would say they are a numbers bait but you get some big ones on them as well. If I had to pick one I would get the deps 175.
  2. I fish in the Clearwater , Tampa , st Pete area....
  3. I have landed 3 from the boat so far .. And 0/4 from land
  4. I need to purchase a gopro! Its very surreal fighting these fish! A little different than the bass i was targeting in Georgia a few months back lol
  5. Hey guys I wanted to show you my new setup. I had to sell a Deps 250 and some other rods to fund this. I have recently hooked into multiple tarpon in the 100-150 class from shore and they have almost spooled me on my Sustain 6000. I have 500 yards packed on this Shimano Tranx paired with a LDC XH. Hope fully I will be able to share some pics of a tarpon in the surf!
  6. I use them for snook and tarpon .. They work great .. Never tried them in fresh
  7. I am looking to sell these together to fund a tarpon reel. will sell them together for 400$ ..i will pay shipping and you cover paypal fees. I will post pics when i get home
  8. Those look good! i am wondering if i need some sort of harness or a way for the hooks to get away from the bait once the fish hits it.
  9. Hey guys I recently moved down to Clearwater Florida and have pretty much been ruined by the salt. I want to use my glides for tarpon and snook but the trebles will not cut it. I thought i saw a pic somewhere of a gancraft that had a harness with two J hooks. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks
  10. Hughie I was using a slow retrieve to start out then I would mix in some half reel turns followed by a pause so the bait would glide out far to one side
