I remember reading an article many years ago when offshore trolling was for tuna and dolphin was how I spent my summers, and they did a study where they trolled a hydrophone and recorded many different things like a normal conversation, a radio and someone yelling "Fish ON!!" They can literally hear everything haha there is plenty of debate about whether it affects them or not but make no mistake about it, they can hear you.

What's your setup that you're showin there

Sounds like a great night man! The punker has a lot of side-to-side movement so a lot of people think it's harder for fish to track and therefore tend to overlook it at night when they have a wakebait in their arsenal. I guess stalling the punker allows the bass to get a bead on it . . . thanks for the puzzle piece
